My family and I have just returned from a 2 week trip to Stoupa, we have been visiting for many years but this was the first time we stayed at Villa Kosta.
It is perfectly placed, just a stones throw from the main beach and less than 10 minutes walk from the beautiful Kalogria.
The apartments themselves were spotlessly clean and set in lush, well kept gardens. there was plenty of room for the 3 of us and with 2 balconies, you could have your own space.
I have saved the best till last and that was the lovely family who run the hotel.
Angelika, Costas and both Christos' couldn't have been more hospitable. They were both patient and helpful in my efforts to learn Greek and provided me with apps and websites in order to help. When having a drink in the bar we felt as if we were sitting in the family home having a drink with friends. Thanks, for making a great holiday!

Villa Kosta was absolutely perfect for my husband and I so we have already booked our return visit next year. The Hotel is in a very quiet street fed only by a footpath about 2 minutes from the beach. (Room to sea!)
We always choose self catering apartments as we enjoy eating out in the numerous bars/cafes/restaurants in Stoupa. The owners are so very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and airy with mosquito doors and access to air con if required. A safety deposit box is also available. Bins were emptied daily and theroom was kept clean and fresh by our lovely maid Ladi 2 or 3 times a week. Towels and sheets were changed just as regularly. But I am sure that if we had needed anything extra it would have been found for us straight away. We did have the room with the 'restricted view' of the sea, The willow tree blocks most of the view unfortunately but then it does lend a certain amount of natural shade to a very generous sized balcony. The wind down canopy was so useful during late afternoon. The view from the doorway was of the mountains. Our room had the small shower tray mentioned by others but we did the same thing and used the bathroom as a wet room. This is VERY easy to achieve WITHOUT flooding the floor and was no problem for us at all. We didn't need the third bed but for anyone who does we can assure you that it is a full sized single bed for an adult and NOT one of the small versions often offered by other establishments. There is plenty of room for 3 adults to share this accommodation with all the kitchen facilities needed for self catering if required. We liked our room so much we hope to re-book it for next year with luck. It just suited us so well. If we could get out to Stoupa for the end of October we would be back in a shot. Kalamata Airport really needs to open its doors for a longer season. Looking forward to seeing you again Kostas, Angelika, Christos and Ladi.Wishing you well for the rest of the season. Thank-you for making our holiday 'perfect for us'. Dee and Pete Jones

Just came back from our trip from Stoupa... Well, what can I say... Stoupa and Villa Costa was a random choice, did not know where to go after 1 week in Athens and just decided to drive to Messinia, as someone mentioned that it is beautiful. Took a hotel reference booklet and booked first (no, second) visually appealing hotel. The choice was sooooo right!!! Immaculately maintained, with ablolutely wonderful owners this little "Heaven on Earth" made our stay in Stoupa very comfortable and pleasant to extreme. Very coveniently located near the crowded beach walk, yet very quiet street Villa Costa offers relaxing and friendly atmosphere and lots of comfort to those who are in need of some "do nothing" time.
We had family loft which is efficiently equipped with everything: lttle kitchenette has basic cookware, refrigerator, coffee maker, dining table for four people. Airconditioner is upstairs, but cools the whole place really well. Two balconies -one up in the bedroom, another is of the dining area give different view and opportunity to see what is gong on around. The appartment was cleaned and the bedding was changed 3 times during our 1 week stay, trash was emptied daily and fresh towels were brought every day (Efharisto' poli' , Ladi!!!).
There is a TV, lots of comfy seating and beverage bar in the lobby and outside patio with board games (chess, backgammon). Wi-Fi is available in the lobby only, which is fine. In fact, I only checked my mail once during 7 days stay in Villa Costa, there is so much to do in Stoupa...
Owners are always ready to help in any way possible and very open to interaction.
We travelled quite a lot around the world, but Stoupa and Villa Costa are the destination and accomodations which make you want to come back!
Efharisto' poli', Kostas, Angelika, Christos and Ladi. May God bless you and give you long years of happiness and prosperity!

We stayed at Villa Kosta for 2 weeks and would highly recommend it if you're looking for self catering accommodation (and with all the great restaurants and tavernas in Stoupa why would you want to stay in a hotel?!). The owners are friendly, the rooms are clean and the apartments are tucked down a little path from the beach so it's quiet at night. The beach and all the amenities of Stoupa are literally 90 seconds away but you'd never know it as the place is so peaceful.

My other half and I have already been talking about returning to Stoupa and when we do we will definitely stay at Villa Kosta again.

we came back from Stoupa 3 weeks ago, and it was one of the best holidays we've had. The apartment that Kosta gave us was an upgrade, and it was really great! It was clean, the a/c wasnt too loud, and the beach and shops were so close - we felt very spoilt, compared to others who had quite a long trek. Kosta and his family were very nice and welcoming - it was nice to have our little chats and we got to know a lot more thanks to this opportunity. The food in all the restaurants was good, and service was also good. We will definitely go there again!

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Villa Kosta, would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a clean, friendly, quiet place to stay near to the beach,
tavernas and supermarket.
Stoupa and its surrounding area are wonderful place to visit long may we get the chance to visit it is totally unspoiled.
Our favourite restaurant is Yesterday & Today. Voula the owner is trying to keep the Mani traditions going with her little museum inside the restaurant and her menu & bread making nights. We went 3 times whilst there but visited different restaurants on the other nights and never had a bad meal at any of them.
Whilst there we went to the Music festival at the Boutique Resort what a wonderful night we had the views are stunning we had good food, wine and the music was great well worth going.
We hope to return to Stoupa again cant wait.

Have just had another week at the Kosta, having been there last September. A great little family run hotel with lovely owners who make you feel very welcome and where nothing is too much trouble.
There is little that I can add to my previous review or that of other visitors, who also obviously find it a perfect little place to stay. Very clean, immaculately maintained and perfectly positioned up a quiet little side street but less than a minute away from the beach, tavernas and all amenities.
We had a very good sized room, with extremely comfortable beds, a good sized balcony with a slight sea view and the usual small, but perfectly adequate bathroom that you get in Greece. The shower cublicle was very small, but just leave the curtain open and use the bathroom like a wet-room. One very minor problem with the shower was fixed as soon as we mentioned it.
We love these apartments and the owners and would highly recommend the Villa Kosta and will be back again next year.
As for Stoupa, what can I say? Those who know it will know exactly what I mean when I say it 'gets under your skin' and those who don't, will fall in love with it straight away. My wife and I always said, with so much of the world to see, we would probably not go back anywhere a second time and if so, certainly no more than that. We have now come here for at least one of our holidays each year for the last six years and cannot see this changing.
