Typical small, family run Greek hotel. Yannis, the son, speaks excellent English and is very helpful and happy to chat. The mother, whose name I am sorry to say I do not know, speaks limited English, but is a very lovely, gentle, charming lady and very helpful in ensuring her guests have a wonderful stay.
Spotlessly clean in all areas - bedrooms, dining room, bar etc. Bedrooms are adequate size, functional with very comfortable beds (firm) and bathrooms are typically Greek - small!!
Breakfast is usual Greek fare - cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread, meats, cheese etc, but all very fresh and very nicely presented and one of the nicest Greek breakfasts I have had.
Located only a short walk from the beach, supermarket and restaurants, the position is very good and although situated by the side of a "main" road, it is little used and relatively quiet.
This is our first time at this hotel, but we will definitely come again and would highly recommend this for those who like a small hotel or normally have an apartment but are looking for bed and breakfst instead.
For those who are new to Stoupa, the resort is a beautiful ,quiet, relaxed small Greek village and is a little bit of paradise. It is unspoilt by overdevelopment, has a nice mix of nationalities - mainly British, German, Dutch and Scandinavian and attracts the more middle-aged/mature respectable clientele and is not plagued by lager louts! Let's hope it remains this way for ever.
