“Average Weatherspoons Standard”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

Because it's in a seasonal touristy town this Weatherspoons can be inconsistent. Sometimes it can be clean and your food comes quite quickly, sometimes it is the exact opposite. As this was a winter visit it was welcomingly warm and clean. Food came in around 25 minutes, which seemed quite long given the place was empty, but is still perfectly acceptable. The food was well cooked and tasty.

“very good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

The food here is better than some other Whetherspoons we have been to, and while not top notch is nice. The value for money is excellent.

“Truly Awful Wetherspoon Pub”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

Horrid Horrid place. The tables were full of plates/glasses and we had to wait ages for someone to clean them.

There is always a queue for the bar at wetherspoon pubs but this was just ridiculous - I spent so long queueing that my husband came to check that I was OK.

When our food came, it was stone cold and had to be sent back. After 20 minutes someone came to tell us they had now run out of vegetables and GRAVY.

We asked for our money back and left - this place is a disgrace.

“Consistent, great for a relaxed meal or drink”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Its a Weatherspoon's on the seafront! Great!
From those who 'know', I hear that the food is better that others in the same chain. It does get very busy with families at lunchtime.

“Popular, cheap and cheerful”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

Had two cheap and cheerful meals here for £6.50. The food was ok but I must admit that it was not up to the usual wetherspoon standard.
The staff seemed very busy and service took a little longer than anticipated. There seemed to be a shortage of certain items such as onion rings etc.. but the staff were quick to offer an alternative.
Wetherspoons always offer good value in terms of drink prices, however on this occasion they seemed understaffed and one particular staff member was run off her feet trying to clear tables but still managed a smile.
