“Homely cabins, peaceful setting, plenty to do, and extremely friendly owners”
Reviewed January 10, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

The rural experience at Wall Eden Farm begins as soon as you arrive, driving over the cattle grid into the spacious car park, situated amongst the barn, various out houses, and in sight of a few animal friends.

It is immediately apparent the cabins are well kept and in excellent condition. Despite it being extremely wet, the grounds were not waterlogged and everything is well paved. I was travelling in a large group (same group as Ross, previous reviewer) and we had opted to take all six cabins. I was in 'Otter's Bank' which is the furthest from the entrance and situated near the river. Upon entering the cabin we were thoroughly impressed with how spacious, clean, and well equipped it was. Like many meek travellers visiting self-catering accommodation we had brought a load of kitchen utensils and soon realised they could all stay in the car. The kitchen has everything you need to cook proper meals. There was also a decent range of glassware, including roughly 15 nice pint glasses which made me happy as I had paid a visit to Cheddar Ales and bought 72 pints of ale! (also highly recommended).

The bedrooms were simple and quaint. Multiple power sockets for your charging needs and plenty of clothing storage. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets in the wardrobe, along with bath and hand towels for each visitor.

There were two bathrooms in our cabin. One was a full wet room with a shower, lavatory, and sink. The second had a full size bath, lavatory, sink, and large mirror. A seemingly unlimited supply of hot water allowed six of us to shower (perfect for walkers/outdoor types).

The master bedroom featured doors straight onto a lovely riverbank veranda. The veranda runs around two full sides of the cabin and is fully covered and well lit.

Andy is one of the most accommodating hosts you could wish for. The communal facilities are excellent and include a shop for essentials (very useful), a sauna and hot tub (which we made full use of on New Year's Eve), and other activities such as archery. To use these facilities there are very reasonable additional fees.

Andy has great local knowledge and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a great stay.

Looking forward to return visit.

“Fabulous place, magical atmosphere”
Reviewed July 15, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

What a beautiful, magical place. We were greeted warmly, first by the sheep and lambs who trotted up to our car to check us out! Then by the farmer who owns this beautiful holiday park. The holiday park (Wall Eden Farm) is quite small - I think just 6 or 7 cabins, arranged around a river bend, and we felt like we were really in the middle of where it all happens for wildlife around here. We saw kingfishers, badgers, and I thought I saw an otter! It was truly beautiful. Inside the cabin, just as great. Spacious and well-kept, with all the mod-cons you could want.
Love the hot-tub too! Will we be back? You bet!!!
