“well maintained holiday park well located”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

I came to the holiday park with my husband, The reception staff were very welcoming and the grounds were immaculate , well organised and sign posted. There is an impressive lake on the park where you can go fishing. We did not use the on site factilities but used the place as a base to check out the area Burnham on sea is a buzzing seaside town which is 10 minutes walk from the park.. We visited Weston Supermare which was about 20 minutes away and alovely upmarket seaside town. We also visited the Chedder Gorge which was about 20 minutes away, go early to make the most of all the activities on offer. A wonder down the street is interesting too with lots of nice tea shops. We walked to the Italian La Vela it was buzzing and had fantastic food and service.

We opted for the luxuy caravan which was clean but I was disappointed as it looked shabby aand the seat covers were badly stained and looked dirty. so glad we had not gone for the basic caravan.
all in all it was a good weeknd

We just come back from a week away I got 2 one 4 and one 9. Lots activites for them to do the 9 went and did the water ones every and had the pool to himself on times the 4 did some water activites. And also enjoy the meeting Rory and the rest, the staff were friendly and helpful I would like to give a big thank to lifeguards as they were excellent with my 9 making hoilday by having fun in the pool with him when he was on his own. The caravan was really nice and very clean. We have all ready book for June next year and would highly recommend this park to everyone.

We stayed in a prestigue caravan for a week 15 sept- 22 sept caravan was lovley lots off room and heating in all rooms but pull out bed in living room soooo uncomfy (cleaning staff need retraining tho as wasnt cleaned properly but this did not spoil my hol).
We stayed in ceddar close right next to the complex so peaceful no noise even tho very close.
Park is lovley and clean huge fishing lake would of loved a caravan there so peaceful and quite.
Entrance to the beach is back of park 5 min walk in to burnham on sea itselfs.
Theres a morisons lidal and a weatherspoons and a little high street too.
By car u turn left out of park and is a 1 min drive.
Swimming pool was to small for size of park but we went out of season so wasnt a problem changing rooms could do with updating but again this did not spoil my hol
Drinks are no more expensive than a night out. They do pictchers of cider/beer and childrens cups that u can refill
NOTE showbar is up 2 flighs of stairs there is a lift u need the code for it security man will give you it.its to stop kids messing with the lift.
Entertainment was ok kids loved it so thats all that matters.bingo for adults cash prize tho a bit early at 5pm and bingo for the kids later on . Security were friendly and poilet.
shaneo one of the entertainment staff was fab great with kids and great at making crappy jokes soooooo funny.
Would definitley go back to this park lovley setting and overall staff were lovley

Room Tip: for us presigue caravans and above are the best you get what you pay for would defintley have one at...

I recently took my 3 grand children aged 8,6,and 3 to Haven holiday village at Burnham on Sea.We had a brilliant holiday, the children did not want to go home.
They especially enjoyed the outside pool and the evening entertainment.I was especially pleased that the caravan and site were clean and well maintained, not like the Pontins Park at Brean that we went to last year!!The entertainment was excellent and all the staff were pleasant and helpful.
My only negative comment was that the bed in the lounge area is uncomfotable.I am telling everyone how good Haven is,we are looking forward to coming again next year.

This was our first time to a Haven Caravan park and our first time in a non family/friends caravan. I don't think I'm converted to caravan holidays but we had an enjoyable week exploring North Somerset! We travelling for 4 days in mid September to a prestige caravan.  The caravan was a good size but lacked any type of luxury that the tag 'prestige' suggests. I re-cleaned the caravan when we arrived as it was grubby in places (including a short and curly on the toilet seat, and fag ends at the bottom of the steps). We were in quantock close and our view was of other caravans which we were disappointed with, but as the park was full we weren't able to move. The site called us the next day and offered for it to be re-cleaned but I'd already done it. Accommodation was adequate and a good size for us travelling with an 11 month old. The site was well maintained, we didn't use any of the facilities eg pub/swimming pool so cant comment on them. Would I return? Possibly to this site, but would make sure I paid extra for a lake side view (and maybe if they cleaned the caravans properly ;-)).

I've reviewed this fantastic Haven holiday park before when we visited in March 2011. We recently visited again, this time in more pleasant weather and the beaches both right outside the site and in Weston Super Mare were fantastic.

The reason I am writing this review is simply to advise you about the Lakeside caravans. Don't get me wrong, these are high quality caravans with dedicated parking bays (and if you go for the really expensive Platinum ones you get private parking) and they have balconys and they are right on the lakeside which is lovely..........unless you were hoping for a degree of privacy in which case take note that the lake has a public footpath running around it and fishing platforms every 15 feet around the edge and as quiet as most of the were the fishermen arrive there at around 8am and stay all day. After paying £250 for a weekend it was a little less romantic than I was hoping for.

Room Tip: The whole park is flat and most of it is laid out really well with plenty of space between the carav...

Arrived and pitched tent in a very cramped area, little space between all tents. Shower block was only cleaned once a day and often very dirty. It seems that a lot of the activites advertised in the brochure and on TV require payment once arrive, in my opinion you pay enough to get there and not expect to pay for more, i.e. Archery, Fencing etc, etc. My 10 year old son is not into football, so there was little else for him to do that was free.
The games arcade is positioned in a way that to get anywhere you have to travel through it, a big money making idea from Haven. The evening entertainment starts at 6pm which is too early, but Mr Haven has realised that if he can get the punters in early and then try to get them to spend money on very expensive Haven merchandise, which the kids obviuosly all want. There is a sort of goodie shop in the show bar, i.e light up wands, candy floss etc. Then during the evening a salesperson keeps walking around with glowing merchandise again to entice more money from the parents then later a large cuddly toy is paraded around for a raffle !!!!! Most of the children have a haven drinks flask which costs £3.95, and then over 1.70 to get it refilled (even with orange squash !!!).
Very little imagination at the childrens clubs, for example messy morning/crafts, they made a paper aeroplane in 30 minutes and it seemed as if the staff just wanted to leave. The welcome meeting was just the rep saying "read this leaflet and pay for any activities you want". I will not be visiting Haven again, as the cost is very expensive for what you get. :(
