All I can say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

The room (a suite B room) was every thing we needed, with a view to die for, overlooking the vally and slopes.

The staff were great always smileing and would stop to talk and make sure we were having a great time.

The pool was second to none, indoor and outdoor with sliding doors you swim through to go between pools. there is something great about swimming outside in a heated pool while outside the water it's -12c and snowing on top of you !!..

Food was also top class with buffets for breckfast and sometimes for dinner, with so many things to choose from even the fussist of eaters like myself will find something great.

The spa, well it realy is the bussiness, weater beds, 3 different steam room, 3 suanes, plundge bath and shower... the list go's on.. the only thing with the spa is the older folk like to be nude,
after a long day on the slopes the last thing I wanted to see was a 60 -80 year old's walking around with nothing on..

The Bar was nice with lot's of room and a big log fire, drinks are cheap €2.50 a beer and €3.00 for a glass of white wine. although the bar tender has an attatude issue with anyone not specking german, he I have to say is the only real down side to the hotel. he is out of place in such a nice hotel with all staff and managers been friendly.

For skiing the hotel is perfect, the ski school is less then a 2 min walk. and 6 man chair lift also within 2 min of the front door.

something that is not advertised with this hotel is the snacks !!
we paid half board for a week... breckfast and dinner, between we also got soup and salad with bread at lunch and cakes at 4.
so we did not need to buy lunch all week.

get up>breckfast>skiing>soup and salad (both free)>skiing>cakes and coffee (both free)> swimming> mosly 4 - 6 course meal for dinner Every Day !!!!!

All I can say now is this hotel should be a 5 star +

if you are looking at this review you must be thinking about staying there... Go For It !! you won't regret it.....

One more thing, if you are in Lermoos you shoud really try the pizzas at the Roma resturant on the main street, ask for Seb the chef..... outstanding !!!

March 2008
We have just returned from the Hotel Post. It is an ideally situated hotel with the slopes and ski hire close by. The decor is very comfortable and relaxing. We went for full board and would question their lunches as we often ended up ordering off their al a cart menu for the children as the only one option that was on offer did not always suit everyone.

The staff were friendly and helpful though it often seemed that they were stressed at peek times when they should be prepared for the rush mainly at lunch and dinner times.

The rooms are beautiful and very well furnished. They have beautiful views and really are very comfortable.

The spa area is great and the pool is a real treat with an indoor and outdoor pool with amazing views. BUT they close the pool to children at 5.30 which doesn't give you much time to get off the slopes and into the pool. Also there is a "family" spa area where the children are allowed into the sauna and steam room. Our children loved this but there were times when nudity was embarrasing (and I am not a prude but its different when your young children are exposed!).

This is a beautiful hotel with huge potential but it is a quite hotel not for the party goers!

Have just returned from a wonderful stay in the Post hotel. As the brochure says the rooms are all junior suites and very large and comfortable which is great when you have all the gear you need for a skiing holiday with you. The spa facilities weres second to none and always spotless. A lot of the facilities were only open to adults and this might be a problem if you had small children. The food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner and the lounge area very comfortable and while busy at night was never overcrowded. The hotel is very close to the slopes and a short walk from the village itself. The rooms overlook the moutains so you have something beautiful to wake up to every day. It would be a great location for either summer or winter holidays

The Post was recommended to us by a travel rep friend. It was everything she said it would be. The hotel rooms were of very high quality and the food was excellent with a choice of main course for dinner. The hotel staff overall were friendly and helpful but it seemed to be a problem to pay for drinks with cash. They always asked you your room number and even when you said you wanted to pay up front they were hesitant in allowing you to do so. This was our only niggle. The decor was beautiful, the hotel was always warm and inviting, the leisure facilities were second to none. Children were welcome but didn't interfere with couples who wanted to chill out. Would recommend this hotel to old, young, couples and families alike. However the resort was suited to those who would prefare a quite relaxing holiday as apres ski was very limited and not suited to party animals.

We stayed in the Post on a skiing trip this year. It is a lovely hotel. We went there on the recommendation of friends who had stayed there the year before. We took the half-board option and there was a great choice for dinner every night.

The resort itself is reasonably quiet in terms of nightlife compared to some others we have been to, which suited us fine.

Pay a visit to Maders sportshop across from the hotel for all your skiing gear both to hire and buy. Frau Mader that we dealt with was absolutely fantastic and helpful in every way.

There is a pool in the hotel which is very nice to swim in after an energetic day on the slopes.

My only issue with the hotel is as follows - our room was lovely, comfortable, clean, very very nice, however our friend was staying on his own and had to pay a single supplement for his room.
The room when we saw it was a tiny room, with a single bed, that as far as I was concerned he should not be paying a single supplement for. It was of a very basic standrd.

All-in-all though a great hotel, just make sure to question what your room is like if you are travelling alone
