We booked our stay at Villa Busta several months ago via phone with Francesca. We explained that part of the purpose of our trip to Italy was to reconnect with my wifes family still living in the area. We did not have complete names for any of them, so ovbiously we didn't have contact information. Francesca didn't ask for a credit card number for the reservation; just a name and an email from us confirming the dates we wanted the room. We recieved an email from her a few weeks later and discovered she had made inquiries on her own and got my wife the name of a relative and a phone number!
We arrived and were greeted by her, by name and immediately shown our room. It was beautiful and appointed in period setting. Perfect for an Italian vacation. We were invited to sit on the veranda and have a drink, which we did. After a few minutes we decided to get something to eat but discovered most places were closed for the afternoon, which is typical in Italy. Francesca offered to make us something even though the kitchen wasn't open at that time. In short, she is an angel for a traveller looking for comfort.
The price of the room is more than fair with rooms 1/4 the size and 1/10th the quality going for much more in many places. The villa itself has been perfectly restored and it is clear that no corners were cut or expense spared. It is simply charming. To finish this review, if one is in need of accomodation in the area, it would be foolish not to seriously consider this home away from home. Francesca and her mother Donnatella, extend every welcome to a vistor possible and have made it feel like home.
