“Heaven in the Prosecco Vineyards”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

You must stay here, even if Valdobiadenne is not on your Veneto itinerary, make a detour.
This was more like a 4 star romantic hotel than an agriturisomo. Actually better! We were welcomed with incredible hospitality and were lucky enough to meet Maria, the owner on our last morning. All the women working here are delightful.
We stayed in the Daybreak Room and waking up with large windows looking over the vineyards was heaven on earth. The bed was very comfortable, the a/c worked great although we didn't needn't most of the time. The bathroom was perfect. All the rooms are modern and decorated beautifully.
We went swimming as often as we could in their beautiful infinity pool with the perfect view.
All the recommendations given to us for dinner were perfect.
The breakfast was wonderful with eggs and coffe made to order. The rooms have tea/coffee in the room along with a great mini bar.
We did not get a chance to use the Spa, but it looked fantastic and I am sure would not disappoint anyone who choses to take advantage of their services.
Due Carpini is first class, one of my all time favorites. Grazie Mille Maria and staff!

Room Tip: All the rooms seem perfect. Since we are early risers, the Daybreak room was fantastic, with the sun...

It's possible! Nearly paradisiac. Very quiet area, surrounded by wine producers and beautiful landscapes. Very good stop to visit the wine area, you'll need a car to get there though.

Room Tip: Choose the Salis building!!!

Agriturismo Due Carpini is absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Daybreak Room which was beautiful, very roomy, so very quiet, overlooked the swimming pool and vineyards as far as the eye could see! This was our first stop after traveling 34 hours from NZ! Maria and Stephanie were wonderful hosts, so very friendly making it very hard and sad to leave! Thank you both so very much for making our time with you so special! We also got the chance to view the other rooms and let me assure you, it doesn't matter which room you select, they are all beautiful, architecturally designed, stunning fittings and finished to perfection. The breakfasts were out of this world-thank you Stephanie for your hospitality! The wellness centre is also out of this world.

I can assure you, you will be overwhelmed when you stay here and you too will not want to leave!

Maria and Stephanie, thank you so very much for the beautiful accommodation and your personal touch. We were very sad to say goodbye but if you are ever in NZ please get in touch.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review you wrote for us! It was so nice for us to have you here.... we didn't want you to leave! Stefania and I always do our best to make people feel at home here, we are a small property and we like to get to know our guests, to be of assistance for any information, help or suggestions on what to do and to visit. With you it was so easy because you are so friendly and nice and you already felt like old friends! I really hope we will meet again!

This was a fantastic setting with memorable views from our wonderful room and from the outdoor terrace. If the breakfasts had been just a touch more inventive, we would have given this a top rating.

The views from our room (see attached photo) were probably the best part of staying here. Also, the peace and quiet was wonderful and thoroughly transporting.

It was great to be able to walk through a small vineyard to the nearby (no more than 200 yards away) Salis restaurant. Also, several small family-run wineries were less than a five minute walk away in the opposite direction (we especially liked Bortolin, where we got a private tour of the facility).

Our room, the Dream Room, was a spacious room on the top floor of the main farmhouse that featured massive ceiling beams, skylights, exposed stone walls, a lovely canopy bed, and a large bathroom. In short, it was a great room.

Breakfasts, alas, were just okay but not so memorable. On the up side, we were able to get eggs cooked to order to go along with bread, cheese, and (best of all) delicious homemade prosecco jams.

We had two unexpected surprises. Though we'd expected (from our correspondence ahead of the trip) to meet the proprietress, Maria, she never appeared during our three-night stay. Also, it was interesting that the B&B attracts a German-speaking clientele -- as English speakers, we definitely felt a bit out of the loop until we settled in after our initial surprise.

These were minor quibbles about what was a wonderful stay overall. If we're ever back in the area, we'd definitely want to stay here again, if only for the views and peaceful surroundings.

We loved the Agriturismo Due Carpini. Our room, the dream room, is modern yet at the same time dated in a way that is comforting. It was extremely romantic. We had tons of room. THe only thing I can say about the room is it's up a few flights of stairs which was no problem for us but could be for others. The owner said we needed more than one day to enjoy the area and she was right. It was my favorite area in Italy, so beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. We will definately return!

This is the most peaceful place we've stayed in long time. Each of the four rooms has unimpeded views of vineyards and valleys of vineyards. We stayed in the Prosecco room, which is probably the smallest of the four rooms available, but the room was comfortable, the bathroom modern and well appointed. The amenities were not as complete as I would have liked: no body lotion or hair conditioner and only small bars of soap, but everything else was near perfect. There was only one other room occupied while we were there for three nights so it was very quiet and restful. There is a wonderful restaurant on the site, called Salis, and other good restaurants are in the nearby town of Bigolino. There are also restaurants in Saccol itself and nearby Santo Stefano that you could walk to except that the road is dark and Santo Stefano is uphill. (When you ask for house wine in this area they serve you prosecco, but you have your choice of still or frizzante! It doesn't get better.)

The breakfast is very good, with eggs and coffee made to order, and homemade marmalades and jams. The infinity pool is very nice but a bit cold, but the jacuzzi is not! There's nothing lovelier than sitting on the deck overlooking the pool and vineyards with a glass of wine from the restaurant before and/or after dinner.

Wonderful place amid the vineyards of a spectacular part of Italy.

Incredible views over the vineyard covered valleys and meters away from their sister property which served a delicious dinner, this was a delightful little B&B which really seemed to have thought about the little things.
We didn't get to meet Maria, only Elizabeth who was incredibly kind and helpful and laid out the excellent breakfast.
There were two bottles of Prosecco in the mini bar (€9 & €15), one from the vineyard next door which we took out onto their verandah to soak up the view.
Incredible location, if only we'd booked to stay longer...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The "Due Carpini" tourist farm lies in the heart of the Cartizze production area. The small town of Santo Stefano is an important point on the "Prosecco DOC route" that extends to various towns from Valdobbiadene to Conegliano. We have two types of rooms in two different buildings that are connected by a small scenic path among the vines. The building, with the 5 "Due Carpini" bedrooms, was once the old house of the farmers who worked the Cartizze vineyards. All rooms are fitted with all the luxuries for a relaxing holiday: satellite TV, air-conditioning, mini bar, free wi-fi connection and bathroom with blow-dryer. Moreover, there is a beautiful view of the hills and vineyards from every room and you can relish the calm and silence of this corner of paradise. The belvedere terrace, furnished with chairs, deck chairs and tables, is a beautiful place to relax. Our sitting room with tea, coffee, books and information regarding the territory is available to all our guests. Built in the "SALIS" ROOMS are in an even more scenic and isolated position. They too were obtained from the restructuring and expansion of an old building that now includes a wellness centre with pool. All have larch hardwood flooring, air conditioning, a mini bar, a satellite TV and they are all connected to the wellness centre with a lift. The wellness centre offers SAUNA, STEAM BATH, CHROMOTHERAPY, KNEIPP MASSAGE on natural stones from the Piave River and a relax area. The deck-level OUTDOOR POOL, in a splendid scenic position, with wood-tiled solarium which completes the guests relaxing experience far from confusion and crowds. The heated WHIRLPOOL (in winter), easily accessible both from the rooms and wellness area, pampers you and allows you to enjoy the enchanting setting even in the coldest temperatures. ... more   less
