“Do not get much better than this”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

The Restaurant is located near to the church of Altea with a view over the sea from inside
we where a group of 14 and all agreed that this was a top restaurant, I had the goose pate as starter, which was served with a nice sweet wine that match the pate perfect, main dish was 4 kind of white fish all cooked to perfectness, did not have room for dessert. The service was outstanding and we did not feel the present of the waiters, but they where there when we needed it.

“Super!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

Another return visit to celebrate our anniversary. As my brother was visiting he also came with us. He said it was the best food he'd eaten during his stay with us in Spain.
The lamb was to die for!
Great service and excellent food. What more could you ask for?

“Average is the right title!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

The restaurant has a very good location on the top of Altea so to speak. Scenic view from the windows inside, and also nice view outside to the marketplace around the church. The service was avarage. The starter tasted nothing, and served with no passion. The main dish, a pork fillet was more than well done and hard to eat. The mushroom sauce ought to be creamy, but was indeed not that. The vegetables was very nice, but the french fries was boring. Avarage. 3 of 4 desserts was served. Forgot one dessert, but they didn't forget to put it on the bill. Our first visit here was not a good experience. Average cuisine, and almost poor service (maybe a wrong day to visit the restaurant??).

“Great Location - Great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

Well worth a visit, great service – book ahead if you want a table on the terrace overlooking the square. Attentive manager who moves around the tables ensuring all is well. Good menu, good food. Would definitely return.

“very fine cuisine, high quality food, a place to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

A Dutch friend, who lives half of the time in La Cala de Benidorm, took us to this restaurant.
Very fine cuisine, gastronomic, a bit more expensive, but normal for the quality you get. In Belgium (my home country), you would pay 30 to 40% more. Good a-la-carte choice, also fine menu suggestions (a starter, a fish dish, a sorbet, a meat dish and a dessert for about 40 eur p.p, excl. beverage, July 2013). Huge wine list, but the house wine is very good too.
Friendly service, one speaks Spanish, English and Dutch (proprietor is a Dutch lady).
No place to have a quick bite, instead you will enjoy sitting at your table on the terrace for 2-3 hours while having dinner, overlooking the little square near the church of Altea.
If you want to run away from the pre-fabricated paellas, the burgers and other screaming touristic fast-food places in Benidorm, just book your table at d'els artistes in Altea.
Be sure to book your table in advance to guarantee your place on the terrace, certainly in the evenings.
For Antwerp-speaking people: "Bangelijk goe!"
