“Nice budget hotel, friendly staff”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

I have nothing special to tell you about this hotel. It was okay in every means. If you look for a cheap hotel with good location Paritsa Hotel might be a good choice. For me it is important that you get good service. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we had good conversations. I liked the atmosphere so I honestly recommend you this hotel.

The hotel came with the package. Although we are not fans of charter travels, we gave it another shot this year since the deal was too good to pass.

We booked two weeks in Kos with airfare and hotel (breakfast included) for a very reasonable price. With that in mind, we felt the hotel matched the deal.

From we came till we left, the staff at this family run (I assume) hotel delivered nothing but service with a smile. Always helpful and always there to greet you when you passed the lobby.

The rooms are not big, but they have a fair size. A bit run down, especially visible in the bathroom.
There is a TV with a few channels showing English programming from time to time, but you will likely have to be entertained by endless Greek soaps between the time you get back from the beach till you head out again.

Free Wi-Fi is available, but you’ll soon learn there is a thing called rush hour, meaning you’re not necessarily online all the time but you’ll get by.

We read reviews of the hotel before we arrived and thus did not have high expectations for the breakfast. As it turned out; Rightly so!
How you score the breakfast is probably depending on what you are used to, but it is pretty plain.
White bread with butter, jam, chocolate spread, honey, cheese and ham. …and more white bread!
Orange water that does not deserve to be called juice, instant coffee, tea and a little warm milk for the coffee (and the few who dug into the oatmeal/cornflakes mix).
The healthiest part was probably the eggs, even if they were boiled too hard for my liking.
That’s it! White bread, eggs and coffee.

As stated, we got this vacation very cheap, cheaper than most of the other guests I would assume, and thus we felt we had nothing to complain about as it was actually value for money for our part. You get what you pay for (sometimes not even that).

The location is quite good. Close to the beach and close to the town center. If you have no plans to explore Kos (the little exploring there is to do), this hotel is in a great location on Kanari street.

The room i was given was terrible old. The door handle was falling off. The decoration old. All of the room looked old and falling apart.

It was poor value for the price in my oppinion.

The host Nikos really is a nice guy, but this does not change that the room i was given was positively terrible.

The mattress was really bad, and like the rest of the room had needed to be replaced for years.

So my experience is that it is a poor and abandoned apartment you get.

Excellent hotel with first class facilities in a very central location. The location of the hotel is ideal and gave me great access to all area's of Kos (shops, restaurants and nightlife) - the sandy and shingle beach is 5 - 10 minutes walk away. The reception staff and servers were all extremely nice and helpful. The bell service is excellent and always willing to help and store bags securely. Everyone in the hotel is very friendly and understands what travelers need. That is why we return yearly. Everything we asked for was answered with a smile, a "yes" and instant response, be it to do with the room, breakfast or any external enquiry. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Air conditioning is excellent and housekeeping does a very good job of keeping the rooms clean. The towels are white and soft. All other facilities at the hotel are excellent as well. The bell service is excellent and always willing to help and store bags securely. We stayed for 6 nights in this hotel and found the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in May, and for the price Paritsa is an excellent choise. Close to the beach and to the harbour, and good restaurants and bars. Room was quite big, comfortable bed and the fridge really kept the drinks cold. Yes, the shower is really small and TV from the 80's, but I wasn't bothered by this. The staff was super friendly, and the room was cleaned properly. I would definitely go again to Kos and Paritsa hotel.

If you enjoy nightlife in town, and oversleep breakfast, or if you go up before breakfast for a bicycle-tour in the mountains, or if you do anything else that keep you from the tragic breakfast, or you have grown up eating garbadge, this could be a place for you. Imitation of ham, instead of ham. Sweet stilldrink instead of juice. (oranges are very cheap on Kos.) No youghurt. No fruit or vegetables. If you want a, not good, but cheap and decent breakfast, go to hotel Catherine a few hundred meters away.
They claim to offer TV in the rooms. No way. High up under the roof is a little thing (14") from the former millenium. Its shows only greek channels. Most of them disquised behind snowfall.
They boast over fantastic sea- and mountain-view. Truth is that some rooms have, not fantastic, but some mountain-view. And few rooms gives you even a glipse of the sea. Most rooms offers heavy trafficnoise (pay 40€/week for AC and shut balcony-door), and no view at all.
The pillows are cheap synthetic, and hot as hell. Made my own pillow out of towels and clothes.
The fridge turns on and of of every 5 minutes. With a loud clonk. In some rooms the fridge is placed 1 meter from your trying-to-sleep head.
Some things are good in Paritsa. Most rooms are fairly large. High up to ceiling. And bright rooms. Good size balconys. (Avoid 101-201-301. They are just 8m2 with 70 cm deep balcony) Comfortable matresses, with good ventilation. (Thankfully no plastic cover.) The cleaness of the hotel is well above average for its class. Nice and spacy lobby. You can have reasonably priced drinks both inside or on a large outside-terrace. You are well separated from your neighbors on your balcony. Despite trafficnoise, the rooms are very silent when you shut the balcony-door. Location of the hotel is nearly perfect. (Better is in the harbour with sea-view. But then you have to pay.) The hotel felt very safe, as there were always staff in the lobby/reception. Everyone in the staff were nice and helpful. 2 elevators!! PS: Had I not been given a room (204) facing a construction work, that made the balcony more or less useless, my first 5 days, I had given Paritsa one more dot.

Room Tip: I would prefer frontside. The higher, the better. But from 1:st floor is ok. Whatever you do, avoid...
