Returning to the Bahamas was like returning home, a wonderful welcome by Costas, Billy, Yannis & George. Like home from home. You couldn't possibly ask for better service, setting or hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble even at 4.30am when I needed some bread and jam for my hubby who is diabetic and was having a hypo. Fantastic holiday unplanned meeting up with people we met last year who just happened to be there again, think that says it all.

Thank you see you again next year.

Room Tip: Just ask - pool side rooms get the afternoon sun on the balcony

This was our first visit to the sunny island of Kos and our first stay at the Bahamas, we were greeted by Billy (the Kid) on our first night who once we had been to our room and unpacked a few essentials severed us our first drinks (one of many over the fortnight) and informed us that we would meet his brother Costas who would be running the breakfast service in the morning.

The rooms are clean and spacious and the bathroom has everything you need.

The breakfast was basic but still offered you good alternatives and if you still fancied a full English then you can stretch your legs to the pool and have one for less than € 7.Snacks are served at the poolside daily or cafes, shops and taverns are just a short walk away if you fancy something different.

Being an adult’s only hotel was great in the fact you didn’t get splashed or annoyed by kids screaming and jumping in and out the water and it's really quiet so you can just relax and read your book and unwind.

We cannot understand the bad reviews of this hotel some people have given it, okay its basic and it might not be a swanky 5 star but it has charm character and genuine warmth from the family and staff it is extremely good for the rating grade it has.

I can only suggest that if anything is a problem then speak up whilst you are there, rather than moan afterwards.

As someone has pointed out take a kettle if like us you fancy a brew first thing on a morning.

Do not pre-book your late checkout with Thompson its cheaper at the hotel they only charge you € 25 compared to the £35 we were charged by Thompson

Thanks for a great holiday guys.

This was mine and my boyfriend's first holiday away together, and we couldn't have wished for.much better, I had never been abroad and was quite nervous about going to a different country, however Billy and Costas made us feel more than welcome.

We found this hotel in the small and friendly brochure and that was exactly what it was, small and friendly, you really were made to feel at home. However, the rooms were a lovely size and the bathroom too.

The breakfast was basic but who eats a full English ever day anyway, the rooms clean and tidy and the shower was lovely.

We had no problems at all with this hotel and our holiday as a whole was an amazing experience.

The hotel was on the edge of the harbour but only a 10/15 minute plod, and in the evenings it's quite nice to be a bit away from it all and have a nice walk.

If we ever cone back to kos I know where we'll be staying.

Thank you so much to all at the Bahamas!!! Wishing you all the best for the future :-)

This was our 3rd visit to the Bahamas in Kos and as always it was like 'going home'. Costas, Billy, Mamma (Tsoulla) and Pappa (George) welcomed us with open arms. For a 2 star hotel this has more to offer that the average 2 star Greek hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious and the bathroom has everything you need. Snacks at the poolside snack-bar are plentiful and delicious, served by Mamma. Her olives are to die for and the Greek salads, well, what can I say, they are superb. Plenty of sun beds by the pool and the €1 for the lounger cushions is well worth it. A nice cool beer at the bar in the evening is a must and is always a friendly place to gather. Can't praise this hotel enough - its very rare that we return to hotels/resorts, but you just can't help it with this place - nothing is too much of a bother for them. They are a lovely family and deserve all the success they get. Well done to the Chatzichristofis familly - we love ya.

Although we usually like to try somewhere new for our holiday, we had such a great time last year that we decided to go back to the Bahamas and Kos for a second year running, and found we enjoyed it even more than last year. Billy and Costas were just as welcoming and friendly as last year, and the hotel just as clean and comfortable. Our shower head was a little bit temperamental, and we mentioned it to Billy - to our surprise the whole shower unit was replaced very quickly!
Went back to the local beach tavern and were greeted with hugs and hand shakes by the owner and staff who seemed genuinely pleased to see us back - and the same with other tavernas in Kos Town where we went for our meals in the evening. We hired bicycles to get around (from the convenient place at the end of the road) which made getting about with swimming stuff and towels really easy.
We usually spent the mornings by the pool which is one of the cleanest I've swum in. Being an adults only hotel you don't get splashed by kids jumping in the water, and it's really peaceful. Sunbeds are plentiful, and the pool is crowded if there are two people in it! The pool's a very good size for such a small hotel.
After dinner we would stroll around Kos - there's always loads to see from the boats in the harbour, to the shops in the town, to the amazing archealogical ruins you come across almost at every turn. Never ceases to amaze me how you can just wander around these at will.
We will be going back next year, and are already planning our trip.
Must admit I can't understand the bad reviews of this hotel - alright, so it may not be to everyone's taste, but it is extremely good for the rating grade it has. I can only suggest that if anything is a problem then speak out whilst you are there, rather than moan afterwards. Whilst we were there someone moaned that kettles weren't provided - well, we always take our own anyway as in 25 years of travelling to Greece we don't usually find them already in rooms. However, the people spoke to the owners, and they lent them a kettle. And like our shower - fixed asap.
To the person who complained no help was offered to carry their bags - did they try asking for assistance?

Room Tip: We like the rooms on the side to the left of the hotel as they get the sun in the morning, but not t...

Cannot fault this hotel. We have stayed in lots of 2 star hotels in and around Greece and this ranks amongst the highest. What you get from the Bahamas is a small and friendly hotel. Costas, Billy, mamma & George are the perfect hosts. They are on hand when you need them, but they leave you to enjoy your holiday. The breakfasts are simple but plentiful, the snack bar poolside (run by Mamma) has plenty to offer during your stay and the bar in the evenings is friendly and lively. This may only be a 2 star rating but what you get is a first class service in cleaniness and friendliness. I will never tire of returning. There are that many 'returnies' we can't all be wrong!
