We have just returned from Ampavris Apartments better than usual Greek basic Cleaned and cared for. Large gardens with walnut, fig and pomegranate trees( help yourself)
Pool area very good . Fifteen minute stroll into Kos Town . Only problem bar prices were heavy, but excellent local supermarket only 100 yards away.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 6 just round the corner from the pool and away from the bare area.

As always we have a great holiday at Ampavris. I must though reply to Trisha from Selby who posted on the 3rd September.
These guys did all they could to help you after an earthquake that closed some businesses. Any work will be done when it is safe in the close season and it can be assessed properly.
Breakfast is a full English and is made to your choice and tastes wonderful. Breakfast is collected from the serving hatch ,as it is an open kitchen, and this the lay out. Your table is only a matter of a few feet away.
Ampavris apartments are less than a mile away down to the town. It's elevated views of the sea and coast are stunning with a lovely breeze all day .
Prices are on a par with all other places and it is a pint you get.
You can't help animal noises which are barely noticeable but in my view it is better than drunken rowdiness.
I'm sure you were well catered for and hopefully you will return as we have.
Keep up the good work at Ampavris and see you all soon.

We have just returned from our annual jaunt to Greece, and I can honestly say we have found a little gem. Perfect location, perfect accommodation, perfect pool, great family run business. Very welcoming.
It is ideally located just out of the hustle and bustle of Kos town, a ten minute stroll in to the centre with all its bars taverna's and crepes.
The ampavirs has it all.
We stayed in an apartment, which was just amazing, quiet and peaceful.
The pool area is well kept and very inviting.
The bar area is also clean and well presented, and staffed by a friendly family team who can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much.
Kostas even booked a table at the Ormadon restaurant in Zia for us, and managed to get one of the best tables too.
We have been to Kos many times in the past 20 years and boy do I wish we had found this place before.
What s gem. Keep up the hard work as you have got it right.
A big thank you from us.

First things first, yes the apartments are basic in what they offer but even our little lot didn't mind the lack of a decent stove, toaster (though we did get hold of one...) or heaven forbid a microwave.

We arrived after midnight and were welcomed like one of the family, very hospitable and couldn't do enough for us. This remained the case throughout our 11 days including allowing us to keep our room til 7pm on day of departure for a small charge.

The pool area was lovely and the kids thought it was ace. You do have to play other guests at their own game and put your towels out for 7.30am though, despite what the rules say.

Bar area was very good with prices more than reasonable. Certainly not a captive audience but slightly more expensive than in town where competition is greater.

Karaoke on a Friday and Greek night on a Monday both went down very well.

Bar snacks are very good but if you don't fancy that the small supermarket is 5 mins walk away.

Town is 15 mins and there's plenty to see, lots of amazing restaurants and cosy little tavernas.

All in all we loved it, the atmosphere, the interaction with the owners and staff, the pool and bar. Would love to go back.

Really clean, friendly and nice apartment hotel near Kos town. From hotel bar you can order food and beverages. You can also rent bikes from hotel. Quiet enviroment. Every monday there os Greek night -show, where you can eat greek food, drink ouzo and danze greek dances.
