It just has to be seen if you are in Kos Town, I am not sure how much longer it will remain standing, but important to preserve.

The tree of Hippocrates is close to the town and port and easily signposted. It is a large, old tree so the scaffolding holding it up is very much needed and understandable!

What is not needed is the graffiti and litter that surrounded the tree area, by the seats and the walls as well as overflowing bins.

This is a landmark/attraction that the people of Kos should be preserving for visitors and it seems that little care or money has gone into keeping the area tidy. There were also some beggars and what looked and smelt like urine puddles in the corner of the tree area! Such a shame.

Glad I saw the tree as it is impressive. The immediate area around it lets it down.

It is so near to everything, town ,port and there are lots of seats that you can use or places that you can have a drink nearby.
