For the fans of Frasier series this is the fictional top restaurant Le cigar volant but in Kos not in Seattle! ! Not as expensive and snobby as Frasier's best but food is to die for and without a "moussaka" or "gyros" in sight. Excellent location next to Hippocrates plane tree away from the havoc and the unacceptable restaurant pimps of the Kos waterfront. If you want an unforgettable haut cuisine dinner in Kos town, Platanos is highly recommend!!!

Food tasted wonderful, was presented tastefully on the plate. The setting is superb. It is costly though.

After days of eating "tourist fare" we were delighted to find this restaurant. The Greek salad was delicious and the vegetables in it were fresh and tasty. The sea bass comes whole to your table, the leg of lamb has yummy eggplant underneath it. Enjoyed some Greek rose that was very reasonable. The service folks were exceedingly pleasant, the environment was quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed looking at Hippocrates tree and the live music was lovely in the background. Definitely one of the best meals we've had on this trip so far and a wonderfully pleasant surprise after traipsing through miles of touristy tavernas. If you are looking for something fresh, tasty and interesting - eat here!

Situated in a leafy, traffic-free square just outside the busy part of the town. Service and food was excellent. Real attention to detail and hospitality. Not overly expensive either. Fresh fish was really fresh and well prepared and presented. The lobster/spaghetti special was to die for. Seating mostly outside but a lot of it was shaded. Tables well spaced out. Attentive, unhurried service made visits a real pleasure.
