I have just returned home from Kos Town and visited the Sunburnt Arms (which is right on the beach and is run by Yanis and his lovely wife Sam) 4 times during my week long stay. The first night I was recommended to try the place. I was greeted by Yanis with a big "Alright Maaate!" which made me laugh, a fantastic character that amazingly manages to give everyone that personal treatment. My Greek is patchy at best but Yanis speaks perfect English.
The choice of menu is substantial with a great choice of traditional Greek dishes (the meatballs and the stew are to die for) as well as typical English dishes and a good grill selection.
I hope to return to the island in September and will be back in the Sunburnt Arms for sure!!!

Me and my now husband had our wedding reception here Thursday 30th June. We where recommended here and decided to hold our reception here as sam and giannis are such lovely warm friendly people.
Nothing was too much trouble and i left all our decorating to sam and giannis and they did us so proud with all ther hard work. The place looked amazing!!
We had a bbq and a buffet as our meal and there was more than enough for everyone, it was superb.
If you are looking at getting out of your hotel/apartment whilst in kos then the sunburnt arms is definately the place to visit....
We would like to visit again in the future and have a massive big thank you to sam and giannis for all there hard work and patience with us. So thank you xx

When we are in Kos, we always visit The Sunburnt Arms now due to great location, food, friendliness and atmosphere. It is a bar/restaurant on the beach run by Sam and Giannis, which offers a full homecooked English and Greek menu. For those people that like their home comforts, they do great full English breakfast and Sunday roast with homemade yorkshire puds (is actually better than get in a lot of pubs back home!!). It is a great place to relax and have a drink/ meal then chill on the sunbeds that belong to the bar (if you are a customer you can use for free - unlike most beaches where you pay to use sunbeds). There is a TV where sporting events can be shown on request, and they hold regular bingo and quiz evenings

A great deal of their customers are returning ones which is a testiment to the place. Sam and Giannis make everyone feel welcome and there is a lot of fun banter.

Definitely worth a visit to The Sunburnt Arms, and if you do go, please say hi from Sara & Andy.
