this is such a lovely place to sit and watch everything that is going on around you. there were plenty of restaurant/bars to sit and relax. the drinks and things were really pretty cheap. would recommend everyone to go to kos if they can as it has such amazing buildings everywhere. going back next year.

This is like a baby version of the square in Krakow. A very busy area with lots of places you can have a meal or just take the obligatory Greek hour over a coffee while watching the world go by. We were there during the day and if we'd had a car longer would have liked to return at night.
There's a cosmopolitan buzz about the place and as another contributor has said it's a great place to people watch.
The square is surrounded by 'good' shops selling high class watches, jewellery etc. as well shops selling what I call tourist tat!
The fruit market is well worth popping into as the smells are divine.
The coffees are good at the café in the old mosque.
Well worth a visit.

Nice square to visit during the day as well as nighttime. A lot of shops and restaurants around. Unfortunately they take advantage of tourists and prices are quite high compared to restaurants in remote areas. During summer time they often have some music or dance events going on which is always entertaining. Just beware, and this might seem harsh, but mind the gipsies because there is a big theft problem going on there. I had one gipsy girl literally steal the food from my plate right in front of me and my colleague's eyes; incredible..

The really good thing about the square is all the restaurants around it, ideal for coffee and ice cream and at a very fair price with no trying to get you to leave when you had finished. This allows plenty of time just to watch life go by. Due to being on ALL INCLUSIVE, we never tried the meals but from what we observed it looked good in all the ones we sat in over the two weeks. It is also very central to go and see what Kos has to offer.
