“A real gem”
Reviewed June 1, 2013 via mobile

Having read all the other reviews we couldn't wait to try Elia & we weren't disappointed. The speciality lamb with tomato sauce & cinnamon was really tasty. Pleasant garden dining room & friendly staff. We will be back!

“Greek done right”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

This place was a real find, although it's not easy to find. Yes, it's in the old town, but that is a warren of small lanes and this one was too small for moto traffic. But it is definitely worth searching for as this was without a doubt our finest Geek food of our visit. The strange, thing is, it was less expensive than many of our other dinners! Dinner for 4 with a liter of wine came to 52 Euros; so much food we brought a lunch's worth away. And what great flavors. I had lamb with cinnamon sauce and boiled potatoes, excellent. The olive appetizer was more like a pasta with olives meal. Because there are no annoying motos running up the street in front or behind, it is a peaceful dining experience, what a rarity. The interior is nicely decorated, old world rich. The patio out back is charming and covered for shade. There are so many places which serve the same food in the Greek Islands. This is NOT one of them; great memories.

Great food at great prices. It's down one of the little shopping streets with a few bars nearby. It has a really nice atmosphere. There was an english menu and the staff were very friendly.
