First experience of Ellie Mays in many years, we visited the restaurant on route to Antrim Old Courthouse Theatre. The restaurant opened at 5pm, I had a drink in down stairs bar awaiting my friend to arrive, I ordered a pint of white lemonade and blackcurrant which to my amazement i was asked for £3.60!!!!! 20p more than a pint of beer!!
Puting this aside, we went upstairs and were greeted by staff who where friendly and promptly took our orders. The reburbishment of the restaurant was tastfulIy done, although I felt the room was chilly, even to the extent another group of four changed their tables. The food arrived and was piping hot with nice presentation and was delicous. This was followed by desert which was nicely presented but not exciting in terms of taste.
We paid for the bill and received very good helpful advice re parking for our venue.

we are real regulars here.
really good value, nice drinks, staff and food.
I wouldn't go in expecting gourmet fancy food, but the food they do is TASTY! Have had some sort of spicy chicken in pitta bread, fish and chips, beef in a yorkshire pudding.........enjoyed every bite.
Worth a visit !!! Great if staying in the Dunadry and want a walk for lunch dinner or a wee drink. Authentic pub feel! Can sit outside in the sun on a nice day, designated smoking area & good sized car park.
Also good for families...relaxed atmosphere, staff always really good with kids too.

Went for a birthday celebration during visit to Belfast. The place was quiet when we arrived so surprised when it took over an hour and a quarter from ordering to receiving main course. Seemed to take ages for someone to clear plates and take order for sweets but this appeared to be due to lack of statt . No real problem with food - which was ok. The staff we did see were certainly pleasant enough. Didn't check bill and discovered later we had been charged for drinks we did not have. but we should have checked it before paying so our fault really.

Was expecting something dazzling after reading reviews, but were all left feeling a bit flat.

Dinner for 4 on 2 October 2012. Ray, the owner, spent a few minutes chatting at our table, seems he remembers everyone who ever stuck their head around the door. Eaten here on more than 20 occasions and never been dissatisfied. good range of food, guinness excellent, average meal around £6. The cod and chips has to be seen to be believed.
