“A visit to a new bar in our French retreat”

Le Blaireau Qui Brasse
Ranked #16 of 66 Restaurants in Sallanches
Price range: $14 - $28
Description: New micro-brasserie in the Alps. Come and try our selection of artisanale beers brewed ourselves at the foot of Mont Blanc, in our cosy bar with a retro-vintage theme, with a summer terrace overlooking the river Sallanches. At midday our menu is all cooked fresh and in-house, with locally sourced ingredients. We have a choice of home-made burgers (100% beef, pulled pork and veggie), and at least one plat de jour and salad. Vegetarians and vegans are catered for on request. Cakes and puddings are all home-made. As well as our beers, we have a selection of organic wines, sodas and juices. In the evenings we serve tapas, and have regular concerts, games evenings, salsa nights - check our facebook site for the latest events!

Lovely, stylish bar with great terrace where I soaked up the afternoon sun and watched the Sallanches world go by after a weekend running the Mont Blanc marathon. Loved it. And the craft beer, unique to this bar, was the best ever. So refreshing, no aftertaste, none of that heavy head the next day from any chemicals. The blonde is ace. Long live the badger....
