We had dinner here for two consecutive nights during our staying in Tellaro.
Excellent fresh food, friendly service by the family who run this restaurant situated in a stunning location with an amazing sea view.
Fantastic house white wine!!!
Perfect if you are relaxed on your holiday without being in a hurry.
I would definitely come back as soon I'm in the area and recommend it to everyone.

Simple, good food and friendly staff. What made us come back for two dinners in a row was the beautiful spot next to the harbour in Tellaro. Just hiring your mozzie repellant!

lovely food, very italian, in Tellaro's Cinque Terre-esque harbour. Very good service. Take mosquito spray though !

This "fishing village" bar in the Lerici area has a trendy / artsy /avant-garde feel about it and seems quite modern in this sleepy seaside village. I understand that all the tables move outside to overlook the beach/harbour in the warm months but this being Autumn we remained inside.
But that's not the surprise - the delight is that the place presents itself as a bar but their "bar food" is better than you'll find in many restaurants!
The other little twist is that there's a "Hobson's Choice" about what menu items you're going to be offered. I should say a "Carlo's choice" because Carlo the chef decides on what would be the best/freshest/most appealing dishes for that particular day. Or maybe it's just what he feels like cooking that evening - but based on our experience you probably can't go wrong.
We were treated to a savory cold dish called Panzarella which is basically a bread and vegetable compote that uses (like ceviche) "aceto" to do the cooking - quite delicious and not the least bit vinegary - and another cold dish made with cod and potatoes pressed into a little mold which was outstanding. ( Disclaimer - I grew up in Scotland and never met a potato I didn't like).
We had two anchovy dishes -traditional cold serving (I'm sure caught locally) and a delightful hot appetizer which was basically flattened anchovies dipped in egg/breadcrumbs and quickly fried and which "converted" an anchovy-avoider in our group.
But the high point of our evening was the large dish of fresh, locally harvested mussels - I now realize my previous mussel encounters were a sad reflection of the real thing. Too bad we live in the Midwest.
The house white wine was delicious
The only downer was the not-very-close parking - you have to walk down the narrow street which won't accommodate car turnarounds.
Staff couldn't have been more friendly.
Pricing was appropriate.
Strong recommendation.

This is a nice place with a terrace at the beach. There is no menu there and meals are based on the catch of the day. We had mussels, pasta with tuna sauce and fried anchovies. Nothing can beat the seafood that came from the sea just few hours ago! Simple, fresh and delicious. Our bus trip from Lerici has paid off well as Lerici seafood restaurants are much more expensive:).
