The house is part of a housing estate development behind the main hotel in Gortahork. It is conveniently located in the village, just steps away from the main Hotel, the Church and supermarket. A hairdresser is next door. It was a little hard to find the driveway entrance the first night in the dark however once inside the house was warm and spacious. It would accommodate a large group or two families easily. The living room and kitchen were the most comfortable rooms and well decorated. Living room had lovely views of the ocean inlet. The kitchen was very well equipped and very roomy with lovely dining table and chairs and good washing machine (no dryer although no clothes rack provided). The upstairs / attic level pool room was also very spacious. The bedrooms downstairs unfortunately didn't have very comfortable beds. The family bathroom was fine, the ensuite in the main bedroom is quite small. The furnishings in the bedrooms were functional but looked on the cheap side and collected randomly. The towels were provided in the linen cupboard scattered across the shelves. The purpose of our stay was to visit family nearby for Christmas and the house was perfect for this or to use as a base to explore the wild Atlantic way and beautiful Bloody Foreland.
