Home away from home food!
Hunter schnitzel is delish!
I usually skip the spaetzle, but this time I made an exception! Good & Fresh quality!

We hosted my father 60th birthday here, and brought all the german family.
Excellent service and the chef was eager to arrange any special menu that we wanted!

Amazing atmosphere and such a unique space. We sat on the patio as it was a beautiful warm day with a great view of the lake. Had the house salad and west coast pizza to share. Both were fantastic. Also enjoyed a strawberry daiquiri and it was perfect! Totally recommend this to any other travellers. Portions were large.

We dropped in for a late lunch on a Friday. Place was packed (including a medieval feat going on!) but the service was very quick and so friendly despite the harrying crowd of oldies!! I love the décor and construction here...the European post and beam style...very atmospheric though some might find it darkish. The outside deck is huge too, perfect for those Okanagan summer evenings. We had the roasted veggie sandwiches: fresh bread, delicious real roasted veg with the charcoal corners, and their thick real fries . Delicious but simple.

We'll be back soon!

We had occasion to eat here a couple of times over the last three years and we always hope it will improve - it has become steadily worse. Yesterday we ate chicken club with fries. The chicken was prepackaged frozen grill-marked rubber chicken. THE FRIES WERE LITERALLY DRIPPING GREASE into our plates. It's like they had been re-dunked into hot oil over and over with no draining. Terrible food -- lovely setting and décor which is what attracts people in the first place. We complained to the waitress - we got an apology. That will be our last visit. there are other restaurants in the area that offer much better food.

There are two eating areas here. One is the more formal Gasthaus area, which is open evenings for dinner. We were there for lunch and the pub has indoor/outdoor seating. The outdoor area is nicely set amongst trees and flowers with cobblestone flooring. There is a wheelchair ramp for easy accessibility. It was a cool, cloudy day so we entered the indoor pub area. It was very busy, crowded, noisy and dark. Two large tables had pre-ordered the Medieval feast, which is a specialty there so that accounted for the lack of regular seating. We managed to get the last available table in the back. The server arrived fairly quickly considering the crowd. She was pleasant and smiling. The menu is varied and the food was very good with ample portions, although my husband found the buffet lacking as consisted of soup (4 choices), limited salads and buns. Three of us had the specialty burgers with crispy fries and salad. One person ordered the Thai salad with shrimp and pronounced it delicious. We would return but only if outside seating available.
