Stayed at Doxord Hall Hotel Friday 28th Jan for 1 night. The building and grounds are very nice, check in very quick, stayed in room 6. The room was a corner room with a view over the spa, had its own entrance hall, bedroom was very spacious, and bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and seperate shower cubicle. All of the hotel appears to be very new still. The quality of the furnishings in the bedroom were very good.

The spa was very disappointing and very basic, it seems to have been an afterthought and not as luxurious as the rest of the hotel. There is a reasonable size pool with 2 plastic hot tubs on the side, these could have been installed much better and to a higher quality. The changing rooms were not a very high standard and not much different from the local swimming baths.

The hotel was not full yet we experienced a lot of noise from the Lounge bar, and our quiet night was somewhat disturbed, if you are looking for a quiet bedroom make sure you ask when you check in as we could hear everything from the bar until the early hours.

Overall a really nice hotel and for the cost excellent value.

We stayed for one night in January and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff were superb and could not do enough to help, particularly Daniel. We had a beautiful suite, huge bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower, Molten Brown toiletries and our own kitchen! The swimming pool area is lovely, plenty of towels, water etc and could not be faulted. Afternoon tea is sublime with beautiful homemade jam, cakes & scones, and delicate sandwiches - an absolute snip at £10.50 - do make sure you try it! Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented with a good selection. The hotel has recently had new carpet fitted and so there is no problem with noisy floors anymore. Overall we had a wonderful break in a beautiful part of the country with so much to see and do. We cannot wait to return!

Stayed at the Doxford for one (Sunday) night in December. The hotel was quiet which we really enjoyed. Our room was lovely - comfy, elegant, lots of space and luxury bathroom. All staff were very helpful and made our stay relaxing. The stay included use of the gym and spa area which was nice - we had them all to ourselves - which was fab. The guy working in the gym was really nice and friendly. We ate in the lounge in the evening and the food was excellent. Breakfast was a nice spread with a some cooked options also available from the kitchen - was hard to choose. All-in-all a lovely stay and would love to go back.

Two night dinner bed and breakfast break to celebrate a 61 birthday in a standard room on ground floor-Lindisfarne.
Superbly clean room and large bathroom with separate shower(was shown an upgrade room but over bath shower).,easily controllable heating which was important as snowed.
Excellent service throughout and food to a high standard. Menu shows vegetables as extras but are not necessary as main dish comes as described with generous portions.
Somewhat disappointed the very small forecourt area in front of the main entrance doors had not been cleared of snow when we left but that would be the only criticism. We were told some of the wooden floors are to be carpeted.
Did not use spa area but warm and welcoming whwn we looked in.
Would certainly return and recommend
