Just back from two weeks in Andalusia , taking in Sierra Nevada for skiing but staying at La Bellotta before and after . The first few days we had the " room with a view " . This room overlooks the garden and pool , has ensuite and a fabulous Gothic type ceiling. from here we visited our friends in Furngirola , Malaga and Marbella . On our return from Granada, we stayed in the Bellotta apartment which was also well appointed and ideal for us . We would like to return another time and see more of the local area , and visit some restaurants in Alhaurin itself .

We have just returned from a wonderful seven days at La Bellota. The location was idea and the apartment had every thing you needed, it was so relaxing. At night I would sit in the hot tub and watch the sky whilst hearing the wild life - wishing I was still there. Jean-Michel was a fantastic host, he had the perfect balance of being helpful but giving you space too, we never got to meet Frederic but got to meet the lovely Peggy, the gorgeous dog who was ever so particular about what cheese she would eat - only French. Great location very central, within walking distance was la finca Mota which had a lovely atmosphere and our favourite place to eat in Alhaurin El Grande was Casa Paco which we would strongly recommend. We look forward or returning in March.

We had the joy of a week at this perfect villa in November, the weather was wonderful but it was outshone by our lovely hosts Jean-Michel and Frederic. Welcoming, helpful, discreet and incredibly gracious. The villa is well equipped with everything you could need, the hot-tub was a terrific way to while away the hours, the private pool and the lovely orange grove made us feel very spoilt. El Corcho is ideal for people wanting to rest and relax, it is near enough to town - should you be able to tear yourself away. We have already booked our return visit. The only thing wrong was a week was not enough. HIghly recommended - we can't wait to go back

Room Tip: A car is a requirement.

Fantastic villa and the roof terrace is beautiful of an evening, to enjoy a leisurely supper and a goos bottle of wine. The garden and pool provide the perfect spot for sunbathing.

The new owners Jean-Michel and Frederik are lovely, very helpful and friendly as are Kermit (the cat) and Peggy (the dog). Their plans for El Roble sound great and we'll definitely be returning!

Alhaurin el Grande is unspoiled with some lovely restaurants - Casa Paco is a must! Local markets are well worth a visit and Rhonda is recommended for the amazing views.

Room Tip: The mountain roads are not for the faint hearted!

What a wonderful place for a honeymoon. Beautiful, hot and very private. We spent two weeks moving between the sun loungers, hot tub and swimming pool with the occasional trip to town. If we had wished to venture off to keep ourselves entertained then I'm sure there is plenty to do, but as we both work really hard then we simply wanted to shut off from the world, and this was the perfect place to do just that. The apartment has all the modern conveniences you could need and the new owners Jean-Michel & Frédéric can't do enough for you. They have opened up their gardens and swimming pool to guests of La Bellota, so we had a nice surprise when we got there expecting to only use the hot tub. We will most definitely visit again, but next time we intend to bring the family and stay in El Corcha.

Room Tip: If there is something you don't like, simply tell Jean-Michel & Frédéric and they will undou...

lovely villa , with great rooftop terrace & of course the hot tub , where we spent evenings watching the stars with a bottle of bubbly , the villa was spotless & clean , the views from terrace were awseome , the owners jean - michel & frederick were very friendly , & allways on hand if you needed them , theres a nice restaurant down the road called finca la motta , very good , & staff very friendly , the only downside was the pool was cold at this time of year due probably to temps being lower than usual for oct , a cover probably would keep more heat in , as regards that i couldnt fault anything else ,i can recomend this villa anytime ;

The location was fantasic with lovely views of the surrounding hills and, further away the mountains. The owners were welcoming and friendly, keeping in the background yet there when we needed them and quick to supply things we asked for (e.g. beach towels.) We were allowed to use the owners' swimming pool which was a bonus. The hot tub was amazingly relaxing at the end of the day. The lanes around the property were lovely for a walk, the traffic being very light. Local restaurants were very good, especially Finca la Rota which is walkable and has a lovely ambience. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and the only suggestion would be for a slightly wider double sheet!
