This is a great little restaurant slightly hidden away (turn left as you get to the corner by Pif Paf and keep walking to almost top of hill and its off a little road on the right). The food was delicious, and seemed to focus on using very local ingredients, everything tasted very fresh and refreshingly different from most of the other restaurants in the area. There is a slight hustle bustle feel if you sit in the outside seats mainly due to over excited children running around, but it all added to the atmosphere. The main waiter was quite a character, and very welcoming. Definitely worth a visit..

Have to agree with all the previous comments. We live inland just under an hours drive away. Read previous comments and, with friends, decided to give it a go. Not disappointed. Excellent fare, super surroundings, and charming mine host. We had Sunday lunch there, which with pre-lunch drinks,a little wine, and puds came to E127 for the four of us. Very minor down side - only one other couple dining. Still that's everyone else's loss!! Have already decided to go again mid-week for his extensive MDD.

We have been here quite a few times now and fully agree with the other reviews. Its well worth a visit. The lunch menu is very reasonable at €12 - three very good courses and a drink. Our last visit was with elderly relatives and they absolutely loved everything about the place, the decor, the food and the warm and very friendly welcome by the owner. If you want excellent, Spanish food then this is the place. It is a little tucked away but persevere, follow the signs from the top road and you will not be disappointed!

Returned here again, as we are staying in Alhaurin with friends. Never disappointed. Such a warm welcome from the the owner & the restuarant is so lovely. He is great with the kids too, & the food is good quality. Menu del Noche (15/16 euro), is great value & the is lots of choice.

Excellent Vino tinto del la casa too!!!

Worth a vist, if you are nearby.

I was (again) with my Family at Las Anforas. It is always a great pleasure to eat there. The owner (and waiter) Hilario is a real gentleman, and his wife a great Chef! We have been 5x in 2 weeks and always had a delicious menu there. I use to buy from the card, but you also can choose from the daily menues (EUR 12.--!!! Including 1st, 2nd, dessert, wine/water/beer/coffe)). It is plenty of food and of great quality.
For me Las Anforas is the best Restaurant in town. They also love children and you also have special menues for them.
His wine cellar is great and of wide range and always good quality. Ask Hilario for advice!
Looking forward to go there next year on my holidays.... but one thing is sure, If I would live there, I would go each day to Las Anforas!

Make a reservation, as Las Anforas might be booked for wedding and other celebration, and then it is closed for public.
