The service was fantastic from the moment we arrived. We had a beautiful room with fantastic sea view. We had dinner in Ocean bar on first night. We visited Johnny Burkes the next night. Lovely quaint style pub with quirky features such as old style kettle by the fire. Food in Pearl Restaurant was lovely. Went for lovely walks. Great band playing in the bar. 2 people in the band. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Dear Trip Advisor member,
Thank you for your excellent review on Trip Advisor and for giving us 5 stars ! Glad to read that you enjoyed the atmosphere and food in traditional Johnny Burke's Bar and that you also had a nice dining experience in our Pearl restaurant. Our location is indeed quite unique and I am glad that you availed of one of our sea view rooms which offer stunning ocean and beach views.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back soon again to the Armada,

Kind regards,

My wife and I decided to book a midweek night away at the Armada Hotel and we simply cannot compliment the Armada Hotel enough. The staff were very friendly and in a natural sort of way. We enquired, early in the evening, if specific dietary requirements could be met and there were no issues with this at all and for ease of ordering the waiter had been made aware of our enquiry. We really appreciated this.
Our room was on ground level and we did nit experience any noise .
Our bathroom appeared newly fitted out -fresh clean appearance.
The front bar has a very nice traditional décor . And we definitely plan on returning on a night when there is live music.

Pros:
Gay Friendly
Location
Food:excellent breakfast choice, flexibility with dinner menu to facilitate dietary requirments
Staff
Parking
Tranquility
Bar Facilities

Cons:
No phone reception in hotel room -obviously a network issue for "3" customers.
**We booked with booking.com and were told that our room was paid for at time of booking ,only to find out when checking out that this was not the case. I feel this is a problem that should be rectified with Booking, com as this is very misleading and you could get a nasty surprise when it comes to leaving .

One of our favorite trips ever! Beautiful quaint, quiet country inn made for a peaceful stay and a great spot to explore the west coast. The service was welcoming and sincere but not fussy. Rooms were clean and comfortable but pretty average. We loved the horses! I can't say enough about the view, I dream about returning!

I stayed at the hotel as I was attending a wedding. In fairness to the check-in/housekeeping staff, as people arrived at noon or thereabouts, every effort was made to get the rooms ready so that we could get dressed in time to get to the church. The food was very good for a large sit down reception. The view from my room was of the car park - and they are pretty basic - but when you go outside and go across the car park - the view of the coastline is stunning. Didn't quite make it in time for breakfast as it finishes at 10.30 so can't comment. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of space in the room, small selection of basic toiletries. If only they could have arranged for the sun to shine ..........

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view I guess - the car park is pretty dull.

Dear Trip Advisor member,
Thank for taking the time to write your recent review of the Armada. I am glad that you found our team to be welcoming and accommodating and that every effort was made to get you booked in earlier that the check-in time of 3pm. Thank you for your lovely compliments on the good food which you enjoyed and our nice comfortable bedrooms. It is a pity that you didn't get to enjoy our extensive buffet breakfast or indeed have an opportunity to place the room service breakfast order on your door, as no doubt you would have enjoyed this treat ! We do offer a variety of room types here to include our Signature rooms, Tranquility Suites, Seaview rooms and standard rooms and the allocation of our rooms depends on what is booked and whether any additional requests/supplements are included. Please contact me directly prior to next visit if you wish and I can assist with allocating a room type to best suit your needs.
Your feedback has been shared with the Management and staff here and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Armada very soon again.
Kind regards,

We were quite surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay here. Great location, view, and friendly staff. Dinner in the bar was excellent and my husband claimed they were the best fish and chips that he's ever eaten. If we are ever in this area again we are definitely staying here.
