We have just come back from a 3 night stay at the Movenpick with our 2 sons and 2 grandchilden aged 7 & 3. The hotel was very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds with the curtains. We had two interconnecting rooms which was great and made life a lot easier. Our rooms were at the side of the hotel and were very quiet, would imagine that in summer the lake view rooms might be noisy with people outside.! The facilities for children were limited, a very small play area in reception, an outdour playground - again very small, a computer games room and a small children's fun pool with a small water slide (the water was rather cold when we were there). We ate in the hotel the first night and the choice was excellent (buffet for all courses), however it was pretty pricey especially as we were paying for 6 people and the drinks were extortionate 7 Euros for a litre bottle of still water! Breakfast was substantial, plenty of choice and many people were seen to make up their pic-nic lunch from the plentiful supply of rolls, cheese, ham etc. It was chaotic, but only because everyone was trying to have breakfast at the same time so they could get to the park when it opens. The real pain was the free shuttle bus to the park. For some reason it picked up at all the other hotels before ours and therefore was full when it got to us!We waited over half an hour on both days which was very frustrating. Overall though, great holiday and would go again.p.s. Try eating at the Explorers hotel next door rather than in the park or Disney Village - it looked as if it might be quite good - much more there for famiies, especially if the weather is bad, which it was when we were there.

We just stayed at the Movenpick Dream Castle last weekend for two nights and it was quite nice. The hotel room (family room with bunk beds) was small but clean and new, so no complaints (it seems like most hotel rooms are pretty small these days). Breakfast was from 7-11 so it suited our very late start and was quite good. We did the dinner buffet one night and it was great too. The lobby is bright and cheerful, but be warned that the very desirable carousel and other ride-on games are 2 Euros a go! The grounds are very nice and there's a cute play structure for the little ones.

The pool was nice for our toddler (she loved the slide). The shuttle to Disney only runs every 20 minutes but we were usually lucky catching, I think we'll stay here again, unless we splurge on one of the Disney hotels (but I doubt it, as they are so much more expensive!)

nb: the bathroom had soap but no shampoo, lotion, etc so be sure to bring your own!

This hotel is Fab! We had a great time and did it on a budget. Booked the hotel for one night with Expedia and got a great rate £64 B&B for a family room. We decided to travel on Wed morningand drove to Folkestone to get the shuttle - our same/next day rate was only 58 for the car, so as there was 2 couples that was £29 each. Popped in City Europe for breakfast and shopping (mostly wine). The drive from Calais to the hotel is just over three hours and pretty simple if you use the toll road. Arrived at the Hotel by 2pm.
We bought our tickets from the Disney Store for £29 each. These were one day/one park tickets as we had decided to do just Disneyland this time.
After check in we explored the hotel, got some drinks in the restaurant then went for a swim. Pool is really only a splash pool for kids but was good fun, and the jacuzzi was lovely to relax in. After that we headed to Disney Village for dinner - had already decided on Rainforest Cafe. If you go expecting a long wait for a table you'll be prepared and therefore won't be disappointed - saying that it was only 30min wait and there was 5 of us. After dinner we shopped then returned on the free shuttle to the Hotel. It was a little noisy, but that is caused by inconsiderate guests and through no fault of the actual hotel.

Rooms were great - luxury mixed with practicallity - never seen such posh bunk beds - and they were curtained off so our two year old couldn't see us moving around the room.

Up for breakfast which as others have said was busy but great choice!

Spent the day in the park - left at 6pm for Calais and got the 10.30pm train home after a quick McDonalds break at the terminal.

All in all it cost us (two adults and one under 3) £151 - which is a bargin for Disney fans wanting a quick fix.

i stayed at the movenpick for 4 nights recently, had read all reviews on tripadviser so my expectations were high, unfortunately some aspects of it were disappointing.

i booked two family rooms with bunks in each for the kids, my 8 year old son was very disappointed to discover no bunks. i also booked no smoking, we were put on 5th floor(smoking floor). 5th floor is attic so bear this in mind when booking as the rooms are less spacious because of sloping ceilings. the superior room had king bed, arm chair small table, fridge, bed was very comfy, pillows tiny, 1 per person! i asked for an etra pillow as one was missing but as the hotel was full there was none spare!! so had to use armchair cushion with a t shirt for pillow case!!! thats not 4* is it!! also there was an unbearably overpowering, eye stinging smell of listerine or something that had obviously been spilled on the carpet and not cleaned properly. carpets not hoovered well, corners very dusty. management need to keep an eye on house keeping.

we requested different rooms but the hotel was packed to capacity so we could not move til the next day. NO apology was given for this. the bathroom was perfect, large, clean, with bath and shower, pull out washing line , hair dryer, shower gel and soap dispensers on wall. towels smelled strong of bleach and were not brand new. As we were moving rooms the next day we coudnt unpack, this was a pain. Grudgingly my son slept in double with me and next morning we packed our bags and left them at reception to move to new rooms when we got back later that day. i feel that the hotel should have made more of an effort considering it was their mistake and at least left our bags in the room for us. new rooms had horrible view of car park, badly badly scuffed walls scruffy appearance in general and bunks were baby bunks. not what we had booked. so we had to go through the whole rigmarole again , thankfully third time lucky, we eventually got what we booked. nice view, not scruffy with king bed and full bunks.

all the rooms i saw were very dusty and the net curtains smelled of dust, not been washed for quite some time i imagine. i wiped down all surfaces and im no monica from friends!! the bed sheets were old and well used, there was a three corner tear on the quilt cover that left a hole big enough to fit a football through!!! the quilt itself was cheap, thin and was fit to be thrown out. there was no spare blanket if you felt cold. the kids area in the lobby, specifically glass around the ball pit (which is tiny!) was really dirty. the hotel was not immaculate as it should be. there was just a hint of castle, definately not dream castle! castle effects were feeble to say the least.

i found the hotel staff were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful. breakfast was more than great, there was everything you could imagine to choose from, hot food which many of the hotels only do as extra. if you had the stomach at 7 am you could really pig out! it was not as hectic as i had imagined from reading the other reviews. just lots of kids, kids outnumbering adults 5 to 1 everywhere!! to be expected in disneyland.

disney itself was fantastic i loved it and cant wait to go back, the shuttle bus was great. very reliable, packed at times but so what. running every 15 minutes from 6 am to last bus leaving disneyland at 5 to midnight.

i had 1 drink in the bar (chipped glass!) i didnt eat in the restaurant. the pool was for kiddies only, small and cold! the hotel lacks the luxury of a four star, it reminded me of a busy airport terminal. very functional. the kyriad loks very nice gonna try there next time!

enjoy disneyland paris!

Just got back from a 3 night stay. We book two ajoining rooms which were perfect for our family of 6. Both rooms were well laid out with a huge kingsize bed and a set of full size single bunks. If you have a large family it is so difficult to find a room with an interconnecting door, so this is perfect. The hotel is clean and in good repair. The breakfast had something for everyone and agood selection of drinks. It was busy, but that is to be expected in such a large hotel. The bar had a warm friendly atmosphere and prices are fair.
The hotel offers a regular bus service to Disney, which can get a bit busy. Do the French know what a queue is? Everyone just piles onto the bus, with little regard for children.
This hotel was perfect for us and ideal for anyone with children. I can not understand the previous comments regarding noise and children, why go to Disney if you don't like children or noise?
Only critisism would be no coffee in the rooms as you need one after a busy day in the park. Plus there are only a few very expensive vending machines to by soft drinks and snacks
WE WILL BE GOING BACK IN THE NEAR FUTURE
