“Great child friendly hotel!”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 with children aged 3 and 8. The hotel was very child friendly and the bunk beds in our room were perfect for the kids. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a whole variety of food to choose from.

There was also free wifi throughout the hotel.

Overall a very enjoyable stay,

Disaster..... they could not even provide us with a room. With nobody else waiting at reception, we were ignored for fifteen minutes - I had no choice but to shout for attention. At this point the receptionist who had been chatting to her manager bothered to serve me I was then told that due to a technical "problem" half the hotel was closed & I was offered a room at the sister hotel - the magic circus - not much of a choice when you have two tired/hungry children. It then took almost 30 minutes to arrange a transfer for the 500metres journey to the "circus"... Review to follow.

We stayed at this hotel from 7th March to 11th March 2013.

The rooms were spacious enough as we've stayed in Paris many times and the rooms are never big! The entrance to the hotel is lovely. We travelled with two children - a two and a half year old little girl and a 5 month old baby boy. In the lobby there were rides for our little girl to play on although they were expensive at 2 euros a ride. We found she enjoyed sitting on them withut us actually putting any money in. There was also a little disney shop which was handy if you didn't want the hustle and bustle of shopping in disneyland paris. Also if you shopped in Disney during the day you can get your purchases sent here free of charge so you can pick them up on the way home.

There is a fridge in the room which is emptied so you can store drinks etc in there. We stored our baby's sterilised bottles in here and when the card is taken out of the slot and the electricity goes off the fridge stays on which we found very useful!

The TV has a lot of foreign channels but if you keep searching through the channels there are a few english channels (BBC and news and a kids channel).

Breakfast was ok, not great. We made sandwiches up to take with us in Disney. Everybody else seemed to be doing it and the waiters turned a blind eye. Saved us a lot of money! We also filled our water bottles up here in the morning. There are two entrances to the restaurant so it is split into two different rooms. The larger room has nicer food. Not sure why? Scrambled eggs are much nicer in this room and nicer bread etc.

There are shuttle buses into the park every 10 minutes and if you get the earliest bus (9.15?) it is quiet so you can take buggies on without collapsing them (useful for our baby if he had fallen asleep whilst waiting for the bus!).

When in Disney we used babyswitch a lot and fastpass. Both free and both fantastic to cut out queuing times! We researched Disney a lot before we went. The best website is 'DLRPmagic.com' which gives maps of the parks, opening times etc and general info about rides and restaurant menus). You must look at this website before you go if travelling to Disney. There are also forums on here under 'Marne-la-Vallee' worth checking out - anything by 'Figgygirl' who seems to know absolutely everything about Disneyland Paris!!!

My husband went swimming with out little girl in the hotel pool and said it was nice and quiet. Remember to take your own towels for swimming as the hotel charge you for theirs.

We ate at the Disney village each night - NOT in the hotel (as we read this was extremely expensive for what you got!!). Our favourite restaurant was the Rainforest Cafe - which the kids loved as the jungle animals make noises every so often and move. The food was nice too.
We tried to book into Cafe Mickey (to meet Disney characters while you eat) while we were there but couldn't get in for the whole of our stay so please book this before you go if you want to eat there. We intially thought it to be expensive but when you realise everywhere is charging pretty much the same price for food it really is worth booking!

We had a problem with our air con in the room when we got there - it wasn't working at all and the room was roasting hot! We told reception but explained we were heading out. When we got back they had completely fixed the air con - brilliant!

Also a lot of people say it takes ages to check in - it probably took 10-15 mins but the kids could play on the rides in the lobby and the receptionists were nice enough - not as grumpy or rude as previously made out by people.

We did find when using the buses that there was no queuing system whatsoever - even with very small children. Foreign people will push you out of the way to get on so you just have to be quick and forceful back. We managed to get seats on every bus ride we had (and Dreamcastle is the last pickup before Disney so generally quite busy!).

All in all I thought this hotel was fine for the purpose we wanted it for. When we were there we went for a drink in the Disneyland hotel and even though it is a lot more money to stay there the location of it for Disney is amazing and we would definitely stay here next time - just for convenience (and not having to rely on buses all the time).

We flew to Paris for convenience and the transfer from the airport was about 40 minutes. A good three star hotel overall (but better than most other hotels in the area - so I've heard).

After having read mixed reviews about this hotel, I can't fault it. We found it to be great value for money. We had one of the family rooms with a bunk bed for the kids, which was very convenient and comfortable despite the relatively small size of the room. The lobby offered much interest to the kids at times when they had to wait for us parents to do boring things such as check-in or check-out. The hotel facilities are large enough so that it does not feel crowded, despite being enormously popular with Disneland visitors due to it's convenient location. Shuttle buses to the parks are frequent though at peak times fill before they even arrive as this hotel is last on bus route 54 pick-up run. Staff were efficient and friendly, we did not experience the push to buy dinner vouchers which some reviewing visitors mention. It was mentioned as an off at check-in, we used this for our first night and found it to be of comparable price to eating outside the hotel, which we did for the remainder of our stay.

Breakfasts are fairly monotonous but this was not a huge concern. Drinks in the dinner-buffet restaurant are hugely overpriced (7 Euro for a 1l bottle of still water!), as are all items on the room service menu - eg. 21 Euro for a sandwich!

I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I ever had the slightest inclination to repeat my trip to Disneyland, which is highly unlikely :)

This was sold as a family hotel, however was not child friendly. Food ver expensive, not good quality and not child friendly. Staff however were very friendly but rushed off their feet, simply not enough staff! They also stopped serving food in the bar which left only a buffet . Prices for a drink at the end of a long day were extremely costly, a bottle of red wine was ok but they ran out of all wine over the week end.

Disney, however was magical and worth the trip with my two grandchildren :.)

The hotel was very well presented, clean lobby area with décor to go with the castle theme throughout the hotel. The room was spotless and was made up every day during our stay, bunk beds were perfect for the children and the queen size bed was ideal for a well deserved spread after a long day at the park for the adults. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of variety to suit everyone's taste. Location of the hotel was ideal to visit Disneyland, shuttle bus service every 20 minutes (5 Minutes ride), even better the fact that first pick up was from this hotel therefore plenty of room to sit.

Room Tip: Eat in Disney Village rather than in the park as there was a lot more variety and reasonably priced...
