Just stayed at this hotel 29th Dec - 1st Jan2013 and was pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews and also based on our previous stays at the Santa Fe and Explorers , I thought they were all much of a muchness! The room was lovely and spacious with a huge comfortable bed and bunk beds for our 2 children 11and 14 which were also large and sturdy. Bathroom was a good size too with lovely complimentary l'occitane products to use. Tea, coffeee&hot chocolate provided which was great after a long day at the park. Also a fridge, I stocked up on coke at the airport on offer at Boots, once through security without 100ml restriction. As I know from previous experience how expensive food and drink is, coke in park approx 3 euros and standard burger&chip meals 12 euros. There is a McDonald's just outside park in the Disney village which is cheaper. We also enjoyed meals at the King Ludwigs restaurant 2 courses 19 euros and drinks happy hour 5.30-7pm! The breakfasts at the hotel were quite good and orderly! Not the usual free for all we've experienced before. we were shown to our own table each morning and there was quite a good selection of both hot and cold food. sausages, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes etc, cereal, fruit, bread, ham cheese etc. The hotel has a pool which the kids enjoyed and towels provided. reception was always busy as there only ever appeared to be 2 staff on and check in took a long time but they were pleasant enough. Shuttle bus runs from hotel every 10mins and vice versa but cannot always get a seat but only takes about 10mins. Be warned its like pistols at dawn with the French! They don't believe in queuing and will literally push you out the way to get on! Same with the queues for rides we saw lots of irate Brits! Im not sure i would go at this time of year again the parks are heaving, I've never seen so many people, whether it was because the weather was unusually mild and sunny? or whether it is always like this? Our previous stays have been in feb half term and always thought that was busy enough! Queues for rides were always 60mins+, we obtained fast-passes as much as we could but often had to queue for 15-20mins to get these and then queue again 20-30mins to use them. Thunder mountain broke down 3 out of the 4 days we where there but we did manage to go on it, also so did Space mission. It took my son 4 days to pluck up courage to go on it and then once at the front of the queue it broke down due to technical problems! I think fate intervened c'est la vie! The Disney dreams show at the castle each evening was lovely as where the fireworks on New Years Eve pity it rained! The park was much quieter on New Years Day must be due to the hangovers but sadly not on our part at 8euros a pint! All in all we had a great time and would stay at this hotel again but not sure I would go at this time of year again.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room as the lobby is noisy.

Stayed at the hotel in September for 3 nights and it was great rooms are large, modern & clean they have a safe which is free and also a small fridge. We also used the pool and the sauna which was great for relaxing after a day at the park.Shuttle bus picked us up daily from front door and dropped us off at night these were busy but that was expected as it was the weekend & the parks were really busy. Booked to stay here again for Easter weekend, the hotel is pricey but having read reviews on nearby hotels its worth the money.

Perfect place to stay when visiting with children. Totally geared for kids and the grounds are extensive and beautiful. Shuttle bus was perfect for travelling to and from the parks. Room was clean and compact, yet had all amenities, including bunk beds for kids. Go for walks around the hotel grounds and beyond. There are some beautiful lakes and peaceful scenes to take in!

I have seen a few reviews on the lost belongings and we were experiencing the same services from the customer services! We lost of sony nex 3 camera at the hotel lobby and reported the loss. They ignored us despite many international calls. Two receptionists even gone to the extent of hanging up our calls when we insisted for them to check. Email sent to housekeeping, repeated to them many times but not even a single response. The hotel management responded to One of the review and claimed that they will be attend the email request within 24 hours!!! This is totally not true! Liar! Also, the duty manager promised to give us a call back, not a single call I have revived! I give up but please make sure you hold on to your belongings, once u lost it, there is no turnin back and u will need to go through all te frustration we had.

Dear valuable guest,

First of all we would like to thank you for having chosen Dream Castle Hotel for your last vacations.
We appreciate your candid feedback, although we would like to point out that the incident you described is a quite unusual one.
We sincerely regret the experience you had regarding your camera. We usually treat several lost and found cases a day and in most cases we are able to send the lost goods to their owners.
In your case the lobby was full of people and we were not able to find your camera. We can understand your frustration, but would like to assure you that we treat cases like this with best care and attention.
We remain at your entire disposal for further request or queries you might have.

Best regards,

The Hotelmangement & team

We stayed here over the new year with another family group. We stayed in a family room with a kingsize bed & bunkbeds. The room was lovely and had a fridge & safe. The room & bathroom were lovely & clean. We arrived at gone 6 on the 30th so we were all very tired & check in was very slow but we expected this. Due to the times & the fact we were travelling with young children we opted for room service rather than the buffet. It was very expensive although nice food. There also wasn't very much choice. Breakfast the next morning was good. There was plenty of choice & we didn't find It to busy. We got on the shuttle bus problem infact it was empty. We did find it very busy on the way back though & found it easier to get off at the explorer's and walk to our hotel which took 5 mins. Overall this was a lovely hotel & would stay again
