“Helpful staff, basic room, noise problems, paper slippers...”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

Stayed there for one night in early August 2012 as it has rated itself for a 5* property. What a wrong call! This is a 3* or 4* hotel at most. The property itself is big. Rooms were basic, cleaning was not done property, carpets were stained (it was already one of their newly renovated rooms). No noise cancellation from the doors so we could hear exactly what happened outside our doors all night. Bathroom doors were also stained and aged so much already. Slippers were made out of paper. Room was very small. The plus side is they have 24 hours convenient stores downstairs by the lobby that not many casino hotels offer ie. convenient stores for crisps and chocolates.

To be fair, staff were attentive and helpful.

DO NOT use their in room massage service, it was awful, awful and so awful. No skill at all (I am a Spa fans and have tried many massages/spas worldwide) and asked for tips at the end and expected at least 20% of how much the massage costed. Rude attitude.

I will certainly NOT go back.

I loved this place, it was right in the middle of where the other fantastic hotels/casino's were yet it didn't have the price tag. Located right next door (literally a 5 minute walk) to Galaxy -- Macau's newest Casino -- and so many buses to take you to so many different areas of Macau.

If you don't mind the lesser of the Casino's, then this is definately the place to stay. We only came back to sleep and get ready for the next days adventures. The staff were so helpful as well, so much so that we bought them back a midnight meal and they were so grateful.

The room itself was pleasant. It had what we needed, beds and a shower -- free wifi in the foyer -- and a gym on the ground floor (which my friend utilised for two mornings of our stay because all we had done was eat eat eat for the past 4!!).

Stayed for 2 nights here. It's located near The Venetian and Galaxy. The room is large with great bathroom with both bathtub and shower. Not every staff understand English, but no problem there. Convenient shuttle buses available. Not good breakfast though. The affordable (cheap) meal can be grabbed at the restaurant near the casino. Overall, this is a very recommended hotel. :)

The Grand Waldo hotel has a quite convenience location. It takes like 15 minutes on foot from the Taipa. We also walked to the Galaxy hotel, which is just opposite to the Grand Waldo and used the shuttle bus service there. It is much quieter than the Galaxy, which always has flux of tourists.
The buffet breakfast is ok and the swimming pool is quite satisfying! It's really an excellent hotel, considering to the price!

Twas my 1st time to Macau, several for my hubby. Went there for his golf tourney that's why th accommodation was reserved ahead of time. Twas situated the lst hotel at the far end of Taipa. Good thing twas jz a block away fr Galaxy Jotel wher there's th shuttle buses avail to Macau area, etc. The rooms are fairly small, bathrooms, too. The hallway smells smoky and quite scary cuz f the dark colored motif. But, at least most of the staff speaks English. Buffet's terrible. Well, maybe cuz I do not prefer the Chinese noodles, pao, congee. I prefer American bfast, w/c was hardly American. Wouldn't stay there next time

Last June, my husband and I and a couple friend visited Macau. We checked -in in this hotel. As usual I chose to get a room with the harbour view. Unfortunately, to my disappointment there was nothing much to see. The hotel is rather simple compared to its neighbors in Co Tai. Some part were under construction or perhaps renovation. Need to go to the lobby for WI FI. Complimentary buffet breakfast was good though. Casino is rather small

Room Tip: Maybe choose a deluxe room
