“Great walk around”
Reviewed June 4, 2014

Macau is very small, hence the historic centre is actually the heart of it, at least for the old part of city. Besides trying your luck in the casinos, do a 'quick' walk around will be a must in Macau.

“Too commercialized”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

With the McDonald's, clothing stores, cosmetic shops and pharmacies, the historic centre seems a little bit overwhelmed by the commercialized outlets.

“Really interesting- must get the free audio guide!”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

Well worth a visit and the highlight of our trip to Macau. You must get an audio guide from the Macau Tourist Centre (located in the main square). Is is available in a number of languages and it is free. You need to pay 200 MP deposit which is refunded once returned. You get the audio guide for 2days. Following a map, the guide educated us on many different places, including St. Paul's and the fort. We also went to places which we wouldn't have gone to otherwise, as we did not know they existed. Really enjoyed the mix between the Portuguese and Chinese. Enjoy walking the streets, listening to the history and grab a piping hot egg tart!

“Great day trip from Hong Kong”
Reviewed May 30, 2014 via mobile

We took a day trip from Hong Kong to Macau in May for something different. The ferry ride over was easy and we caught local buses to get around. The buses were so cheap and the routes easy to follow to get to the main sites. The weather was so hot the aid con buses were a nice reprieve. The buildings in the old part of town were very well preserved and it was very interesting to see the old and new mixed in.
