“Europe in China”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

A strange visual mix as the architecture is European with piazzas and arcades, pastels and arches, but the signs are Chinese and the crowds are totally wall to wall. This was a Sunday and may account for the sheer volume of people, but never outside of China, have I seen this many people. Add that to the market stalls and specialty food shops, and you know you are not in Europe. Today it was shop[ after shop selling pressed dried meats, cut into sheets each the size of a sheet of paper. With signs such as Boar's Head, BBQ Neck Pork, Spicy Beef Fillet, they were a new process to me. A fun stroll and one that will lead you to the Museum of Macau, a must.

“Unexpected and Wonderful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

I really liked Macau. The layout and the Portuguese feel of the historic area was most unusual having come across from bustling Hong Kong. The journey across was simple and starightforward and we sepent a few hours wandering around these streets and feeling more like in Europe than in Asia. the smells, sounds and shopfronts made us sure were were not.

The colonial Portuguese architecture and moe traictional Macanese shops for food make the historic centre a unique and fascinating walking experience.

“Great walking & photo opportunties”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

A photo on every corner. Central Macau is very noisy and crowded, but its part of the charm. Very shabby chic, more often than not more shappy than chic, buts its a cool place.
