We went to this hotel at early February and checked in at this hotel. Luckily the front liners could speak english cause it's really difficult to find hotels in Taipa with english speaking staffs. The room is spacious and serene, facing equestrian yard and the lobby is located on the highest floor 21st. We were placed at 20th floor, which is quite cool! I was expecting the bed quite comfy but it turned out quite stiff for my body.I could not adjust well to the bed. The temperature in the room still cold even after the air-conditioner is turned off. No heater options available but A/C temperature could be adjusted to 30 degree celcius. I prefer to off A/C though. There's no WI-FI available too which is very dissapointing. It's difficult to get free Wi-Fi in this country!

The hotel is located conveniently next to many coffee shops and restaurants. The coffee shops and restaurants are open till after mid-nite, good for supper. Menu available in english upon request. Not forgetting, we can find 2 supermarkets nearby within walking distance. Too bad the hotel just provides free shuttle bus to and from Macau ferry terminal every hour. Sometimes we have to board shuttle bus from Golden Dragon Hotel when it stops at our hotel.

Overall, quite enjoying the stay but will try hotels in Macau for extraordinary experience!

A very good value for money 4-star hotel in residential area of Taipa, Macau. The hotel is closed to the famous eateries around Rua do Cunha (官也街) and Rua do Regedor (地堡街). Hotel offers free shuttle bus (every half an hour) to and from the main Macau Ferry Terminal with a stop at the Golden Dragon Hotel/ Casino. Staff are approachable, friendly and polite and most can speak Cantonese, Mardarin and English. We asked for twin room and an extra bed (at a cost of about HK$250). Upon arrival, we were given a triple room with three proper beds (rather than a rollover or sofa bed) which was a surprise delight.

The hotel is right opposite to the Macau Jockey Club and served by a number of buses including 11, 15, 22, 28A and 33. Number 11 makes a loop from the bus terminal nearby A-Ma Temple in the southwestern tip of the Macau Peninsula (with many good restaurants along Rua do Almirante Sergio (河邊新街), via the bus interchange in front of the Lisboa Casino, calls at the Taipa old town and then return to the A-Ma Temple terminal in a slightly different route. Taipa Square Hotel is about the four stops after crossing the the Macau-Taipa Bridge if travelling from the peninsula to Taipa. Number 15 is another useful bus for visiting the newly built Cotai entertainment hubs at the Galaxy Macao as well as the Venetian Macao hotel/ casino complex and the City of Dreams. The bus will also call at the remote heritage and beauty spots in Coloane including the A-Ma Cultural Village (free shuttle bus between the bus stop to the car park of the Tin Hau Palace), Hac Sa Beach and Ka Ho Village. I lived in another 4-star hotel in the main Peninsula once but found this hotel in Taipa is much better placed to visit the more remote and possible more beautiful parts of Macau. Definitley will return in the future.

Room Tip: For three people travelling, try asking for an extra bed in advance rather than booking two separate...

This hotel is really stupid, they only turn on the central heating when it is below 9 degree, and won't turn it on until midnight.

I know why they do this, because they want to force you to go to their casino ! (which is small and sub-standard compared to other Macau grand casino)

Although not luxurious this was a nice-enough hotel, the bathroom was spacious with all the toiletries you would expeect. The bed was HARD - but in China this is apparently often the case, and to be honest, it was fine, just a bit of a shock at first!
You could occasionally find a TV channel that had some English spoken.
One night's sleep was interrupted with Chinese people shrieking and shouting in the nearby rooms and corridor.
Vews were not amazing from our rooms, but if you go tho the bar on the 21st floor, there are lovely views of the Galaxy Hotel and that area which are great at night. The bar staff do not speak English and we had to point to what we wanted on the menu. Even so, we ended up being brought 2 glasses of hot water for some reason, but that all added to our amusement.
In summary, this is a great place to stay if it is in the location you want. It is approx 15-20 mins walk to the Galaxy/Venetian, or the local buses are cheap and frequent.

A group of 12 of us stayed for one night in this hotel.

Pretty much every floor, except for two are smoking floors, although it was possible to change rooms on request.

As other people have mentioned the beds are VERY hard, even when I asked for an extra blanket, this did fairly little to make the bed more comfortable. The hotel was also very noisy, it seemed almost every room could hear all the noise from the lifts, as well as people talking in the corridors - thin walls!

The bathroom was ok, but seemed like it hadn't been cleaned very well.

The location is quite central; right next to the race course & within walking distance to Taipa Square.

Overall the service at the lobby was ok, but I would not recommend staying in this hotel if you want a good nights sleep.

Room Tip: Try and request a non-smooking room and get as far away from the lifts as possible.
