The accommodation at Mong-Ha is really excellence !!! i knew this hotel by tripadvisor and just think of give it a try. I would say it is better than most of five star hotel. The staffs are very friendly and with smiling face. They will serve you like superior. We have a warm welcome drink (hot, soft or red wine) at their luxury restaurant. The check-in time is very fast. The guess room is very big & clean. i like their bed very much, i had a very good sleep over the night. The free breakfast is taste good also and variety. The hotel is far from city hall (maybe around 5km only). We took the hotel free shuttle van to city hall & ferry terminal and coming back by taxi at night. (only 27 hongkong dollar). If coming from macau airport (15km), the taxi fare is only 75 hongkong dollar.
My wife like this hotel very much, so do my sister-in-law. She said it's a very good place for "honey moon". i think they have a sweet memory during the staying.
finally, i would rate it 5+++/5. : )

I frequently visit Macao and if you want a nice place to stay outside the casino buzz, this is the one to go. It is an educational hotel, but run so perfectly that you do not want to go to a "professional" one any more. The students are just great, the food is just great, the rooms are tasteful and clean and last but not least you are in a quiet place of the city - which is not as laid back any more as it was. The campus (including the hotel) is a converted military Barack, but much better in assets and spirit than the hotels on "the strip".

Stayed for 2 Nights over Xmas New year period when everybody is in Holiday mode and all services are usually not available.
Took the Hong Kong Airport Ferry Service direct to Macao. No problems, booked return journey on i-net. Easy connection through HK airport without clearing HK customs/immigration. Hong Kong end of service extremely efficient and fast. Macao end of service slow and dated, allow plenty of time at Macao end.
Taxi to Hotel from Macao Ferry easy and no problems ; but ensure you have a copy of the Hotel name and address lifted off their inet site as this makes it easy.
Friendly and efficient with the staff literally falling over themselves to help you in any way.
4 Big rooms, Day room, huge entrance foyer, bedroom and bathroom bigger than most homes.2 TVs and unlimited inet access with a computer in the room if you do not have your own.
Breakfast, again many staff and few guests so enjoy the surroundings and the eggs to order etc. Great start to the day.
Dined in at the Hotel Training Facility and what extremely surprised with the quality and attention to detail. + they could not do enough for you and WILL NOT accept tips! Nervous attention to serve and please (this is a training facility) but totally enjoyable and a pleasure to be there. The Dining Room is huge and the wine selection impressive to say the least.
The Hotel is in an elevated quiet location and you get the chance to exercise with the locals each morning as they gather in different groups for various exercise routines. All the while enjoying the morning views of the city below.
Bottom Line: A Boutique Hotel that is right up there with the Places to Stay. Impressive and attentive students and staff who genuinely want to make your stay a pleasant and enjoyable experience. and DO NOT leave without at least one meal in the Restaurant. Easy to get to, elevated position with views and NO GAMBLING facilities for miles !!!!
A quiet and relaxing place to stay for a gentle experience of the sights and sounds of Macao without the rush and push of the city and the Casinos.
Thankyou

Macau is a place where you can find a lot of hidden jewels like this one, all you need is to look for them. This little hotel belongs to a school of hotel management. Everything is perfect. The building is located on a little hill and it's decorated with portuguese tiles, the rooms are spotless and very well equipped. The breakfast restaurant is a discovery by itself, I could only define it beautiful. The hotel has a high class restaurant serving maccanese and portuguese food, not to be missed.
If you go to Macau do not miss Franco Dragone's show The House of Dancing Water at City of Dreams, your stay will be paradise.

We walked 30 minutes (with a very slow pace) from the pier to the hotel, and you can taste a lot of local snacks. The suite is ~700 sq. ft and the docor is a mix of colonial Macau and Chinese, but the electric appliances, computers and sanitaries are up to date. Room is tidily cleaned. If you want to dine in the nearby restaurant, do a booking. The price is attractive when compared to 'so-called' 5-6 stars casino hotels, and you can run away from the cigarette smells and crowds. One last thing, as the rooms there are quite limited in number, do book in advance (this time we successfully booked 1 one-month in advance).

Hello :

We (three of us) stayed at this hotel Oct31 to Nov 03 - for 3 nights. We took the standard double room deal for HK$640 per day incl all taxes and also incl breakfast for two adults. My teenage son was the third adult - we were charged $200 for the extra bed. Also, an additional $120 was charged for the third breakfast – in line with their website.

They also have single rooms for only $480 incl taxes and breakfast – but these were booked out months in advance. Else, this room would have been perfect for my 19year old son.

Brief views:

* Hotel location is in Macau Peninsula - and a bit far from city centre. However, Macau is a very small place, and the location was very quiet, within a nice park. Far away from the casinos – which is what we wanted ! Their free shuttle to Macau Ferry Terminal 3 times a day (only 10mins driving) helped a lot – but at times we simply walked down to the main road and took the city bus to the terminal. Very easy and also a different experience.

* Hotel architecture – very Portuguese and very nice. The rooms are at various levels and hence does not give a feel of a hotel building.

* Hotel room – very large ! – even after my son's extra bed was put in! There still remained a nice sitting area with a sofa. The room also had a nice balcony with 2 chairs and a table – very pleasant for our morning tea. It overlooked their property. There was also a nice entrance lobby to the room – where we could put our bags. It also had a large table with several drawers and a PC with free internet !! And of course, a 32” LCD TV.

* Bathroom – very nice. Shower area had the panel – with jets etc.

* Food - we had the hotel breakfast buffet every day and found it to be generally very good. The bakery items were excellent. Did not try any of the other food or drink services.

* Housekeeping – adequate when needed. Else, we hardly got a chance to use housekeeping - as we were out most of the time.

* Front desk - very nice. Since this a hotel managed by the students of the institute, we found that most of them could converse in English. Also, very enthusiastic about their work !

* WiFi / PC – I think every room has a PC with free internet. What more do you want !

* Nearby conveniences - we found the nearby Royal Super Market – which was convenient for us when needed.

Overall - I would HEARTILY recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Macau – and who wishes to be a bit away from the casinos area.

Overall – 4.5 on 5.0 stars. Without doubt, the hotel’s #1 rating on TA website is fully justified.
