I really like the color of the establishment.
Fascinating to the eyes. Also, you can just sit there and relax.

This is truly an icon of Macau, but it is basically just a wall.

I am very interested in temples and churches and I found the ruin very interesting, as it has some wonderful carvings. If you have a passing interest, you will not find it particularly thrilling, but you can't go to Macau and not visit it.

The crowds are awful, but you just have to wade through and look up. A must go, but underwhelming for most.

“Pretty boring but worthwhile visiting”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

It's the icon of Macau. This is a historic site that you will need to visit if you are a first timer to Macau. There's nothing to see behind the wall. Ideal spot to take pictures. Will I visit the ruins on my next visit to Macau? No.

“Beautiful Cathedral”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

From Senado Square it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the Cathedral. Even though most of it perished long ago the remaining wall is something to behold. The detail and workmanship that went making this Cathedral was just incredible. If you go to the back away from the standing wall there are stairs down into a crypt and mini museum displaying religious artefacts. This is also well worth visiting while here. It's busy most of the time but you still get some great photos. You should also go back at night for a different perspective. This is a must when in Macau.

“Dont waste time here, overly crowded,”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

when i visited, it was overly crowded. on the steps leading to the ruins, there were tends of thousands of people gathered. it just spoils the experience. its nothing much to see except to do some photo taking. but, thats really hard to do when it is super crowded. warning: this is probably the area with the most number of tourists gathered.
