My colleagues and I wanted to try local portuguese food and local colleagues recommended the Vela Latina restaurant.
The restuarant is conveniently located right across the road from Senado square, so it is easy to find.
We went on a weekday evening, so while they were busy, there was still tables upstairs and we did not have to wait.
We ordered 3 dishes - veal (delicious and generous portions - best of the lot), cod (still tasty but portion is small and so is quite pricey), curry chicken (i thought this was ok only).
Price is moderate - we spent about USD 25 per person for main course only.
