“it was good!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

I think it was great except for the service in restaurants. There are also prostitutes walking around so be aware.
I was happy that their rooms were nice and there was a pool and internet connection. Overall, I felt satisfied.
Like I said, the service at restaurant was bad but the service of hotel was good.

Lisboa hotel is an old wing while Grand Lisboa is a new wing.
Even it is old wing but it is still good.
If you are looking for a hotel where u can reach out anywhere easily by walking - to senado square just 10min, St. Paul Ruin 15min, Wynn hotel is right across the street and across the street is the main bus stop in Macau. Most of the buses will stop there.
Walking distance to all the famous restaurants and cafes.
I stayed in Royal Tower room no.1519 is a great room.
Room come with complimentary minibar, a huge room with living room and the bathroom come with spa - you can do steam bath, jacuzzi, foot massage and body massage spray. All in your own bathroom.
Branded Hermes toiletries all available to you.
Room view directly facing Grand Lisboa so you can enjoy watching the beautiful lights of Grand Lisboa.
The hotel didnt have shuttle service to pick you up from/ to airport. Also if you plan to go to Chu Hai China they have free shuttle service to the Border Immigration and Ferry Terminal.
If you plan to go to the border immigration, if the shuttle bus is not full or only few people they will drop you further down near the sport complex and you need to walk 5min across the bridge to reach the immigration.
If your shuttle bus is full they will only drop you right in front the main entrance of immigration.
All is great except for 1 setback, at evening and night time near the boutiques in the hotel you will see a lot of "girls" parading themselves in front a bunch of men who are looking for "services" and "company".
I walked past without realizing the area is the "stage" until I saw few groups of women with extreme low-cut and super short dress around me going merrygold round hoping they got pick up.
Of course those men standing and watching with their mouth wide open.
Everything else is great but I don't understand a 5 star hotel allowed such prostitution activities freely run in the hotel and I don't see other hotels freely allowing such activities in their hotel.

Don't get mixed up with Grand Lisboa, although under the same chain, the Lisboa Hotel is the much older one. The whole tacky exterior and interior looks might set you back a bit but that that would disappear when you check-in. Staffs were very helpful, especially the 2 concierge staffs who did their extra bit to point out the places of interest from the wonderful scenery of our room's window. We paid a bit more for a room facing the lake/sea, worth every penny!

Best part of the hotel is the FREE minibar, topped up every morning! Apart of that, the shower is great - although it took me about 10 mins to figure out all the functions. Here's a bit of the drawbacks, we've requested for 2 extra towels on the first day and were sent promptly. We purposely left the towels hanging (so that they won't need to change to new ones) but they took it away so we called housekeeping and ask for 2 extra towels again. Guess what? We weren't allowed to get 2 extra towels due to its hotel policy! Hmm, then why were we given extras the day before without any questions asked?

Tips: Centrally located, walking distance to Senado Square. Shuttle bus service is provided by the hotel, hop on and save! Refrain yourself from walking around the hotel basement, this is where all the ladies in the night prowls, searching for its preys - if you know what i mean! :)

Room Tip: Get a room facing the lake, awesome view of Macau and its Skytower.

This hotel was chosen by our company to be my accomodation in my 3days incentive trip to macau. It was an incentive trip therefore, my expectation for it was it is "one of the best" and i'm not dissappointed. If you are a Filipino like me, staying here will not be very difficult for you because you can find Filipinos working in here. Their conceirge was a Filipino so there is a certain feeling of being at home. During our tour, we have a bus as our mode of transportation and buses have no parking space infront of the hotel so we usually enter at the back of the hotel.. But who cares, the back entrance was already a grand entrance.. When you enter from the back entrance you will first be astounded by a giant beautiful chandelier and a stair which will make you feel like a royalty.. Everything from check in was already taken care by our tour guide so everything went so smoothly.

The elevators are also so royalty like.. but it stopped there.. the corredors and the rooms seemed to be just the same as the usual hotels I have checked in. No view from the window.. a little of the lighted casinos. Also I have checked their list of amenities.. sad to say.. no gym.. not that I wanted to workout.. Just checking... so gym fanatics.. not good for you..

As an example of gaudy Macau tackiness, the Lisboa is fine, with black marble and chandeliers greeting you in the lobby for checkin. Perhaps I just got unlucky with my room, but it was a step back to the 70s, complete with lingering cigarette smoke, hard beds and cheap furnishings. That said the bathroom had been renovated and featured a really intriguing computerised shower/bath set up. Location-wise, it's very good, a relatively short walk to St Paul's and away from the non-stop tack of the strip. Even better is to take an even shorter walk across the walkway to the Grand Lisboa, where there are some very good places to eat (I recommend the deli in particular if you're after a filling Western-style meal). Or perhaps a bit further to the Wynn where it's far classier.

Facilities are limited, with a small indoor pool, various restaurants (including a good buffet with indifferent service) and no gym. As others have noted, internet and mini-bar included are good features that may help offset the general tack. In general service seemed fine and unobtrusive.

I think if you're planning on a day or 2 of non-stop gambling and won't be seeing the inside of your room much then the Hotel Lisboa will suit but if you're after a few days of sightseeing and something relaxing, I would not recommend (or rather, I'd be looking for a larger more modern room). For the money you pay, it's fine, otherwise, it's merely ok bordering on "blah".

This hotel is very centrally located. There are free shuttles to take you to the Chinese border or the ferry station. It's just a 10-15 min. walk to Senado Square. From there, it's another 5 min. walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's.
We had a breezy check-in. We asked for a non-smoking room and were pleasantly upgraded to a superior room! They even had our room treated to rid it of any cigarette smells. The room was big and clean, though the design was a bit (?!) dated. The free minibar adds a welcoming touch to our stay.
The hotel doesn't look so big from the outside, but it was designed in a maze-like way that one can easily get lost in it. We were still getting lost on our 3rd day's stay! (lol)
The great location, plus the nice, friendly staff of this hotel made our stay in Macau a very pleasant one.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to experience the chinese/portugese Macau and not the new Vegas style resorts. The lobby is filled with gorgeous Chinese artifacts and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The complementary soft drinks in the mini bar and generous bathroom toiletries are a welcome touch. But if you need your morning cup of coffee, carry some sachets with you. The beverage maker only has different varieties of tea on offer! Check in was painless and the staff are very courteous and helpful. The Hotel is huge - so prepare to get lost a lot. Fortunately there are staff around to guide you. Language can be a bit of a problem - particularly in the dining areas. We wound up paying HK $100 extra each for the buffet dinner due to lack of proper communication.

I must particularly commend the speed and efficiency with which the Hotel couriered some items I had left behind by mistake. to me.

The central location and frequent shuttle bus services make it very convenient to get around .

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are smoking - so make sure you specify that you want a non smoker if you are parti...
