Walking distance to most historical sites and to most of the casinos, the Holiday Inn is conveniently located in the heart of Macau old town (and opposite the Police Headquarter too, for added security). Plenty of shopping and food around the hotel ... the vicinity is virtually alive 24/7

Rooms are old but the higher floor rooms were recently refurbished. Basic necessities and amenities are there ...

Room Tip: Avoid the smoking rooms ...

On arrival we were our room was upgraded as the room we had booked was soldout. The room provide to us was just awesome with two large twin beds. the reception staff were good but charged us on our debit cards for deposit. After breaking our head with them that a debit card transaction cannot be reversed they refunded our deposit in cash. The highlight of the hotel is their concierge. We discussed with them atleast for 45 min the site seeing place in macau and they were so nice and helpful and the most important of all very fluent with their English.
However the downside to the hotel is that its definitely not like a 4 star compared to other hotels in macau and the rates justify the same.Cigarette smell all over the hotel. But the location is not bad close to the MGM,lisboa etc and other site seeing place

Room Tip: choose higher floor

Hotel location is great and within the complex of Sands and Shereden, close to Venetian, Galaxy and all other big casino/hotels in Cotai. Free shuttles are frequent and convenient to get around to harbour and airport. Lots of places to eat within the hotels complex. The only down side is the lifts to hotel rooms which are quite a distance from the entrance. Will definitely stay again.

Was not impress by the lobby when I alighted from the taxi. Walked in and was surrounded by staffs with warm and genuine smiles, felt so much better. Counter service staffs are all sweet and helpful. Room is average nothing to shout about but it's definitely clean and comfortable enough.
Used the spa, very impressed by the service! The staff who did massage for me even accompany back to my room as it was past midnight. Wow.... What can I say.... I feel happy and cared for. Will definitely come back for my next trip.

two casinos in the hotel. compared to the holiday inn Cotai lacks details.
Assistance from the manager was very generous by providing us with a limousine service for a rather bad internet.

The website claims this is a four star hotel - it's a solid two and a half at most. It is in a good location but it is worn and showing its age. Also if you get a no smoking room it only means that no one has smoked in it recently not that it has never been smoked it. I'll be staying elsewhere the next time I'm here.
