Best service I ever received from hotels in Macau in the last 10 years! Chandran - the on day duty manager at the front office greeted us in person during the check-in process, and was flexible enough to upgrade our stay with a spacious and luxurious suite!

We were highly impressed by the facilities in the room and the personal service at the hotel. Looking forward to another stay in the near future!

I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to my friends. Thank you very much for making our stay so special and memorable!

I'm a HHonors Diamond member based in Hong Kong and usually struggle to find anywhere close to redeem my points apart from the very expensive Conrad in Hong Kong. So it was a nice a surprise to discover that there is now a Conrad in Macau. I booked a City View deluxe room on a points+pay deal for me, my wife and my baby daughter who is six months old.

We got into the shuttle bus at the Taipa temporary ferry terminal and check in was a breeze at the hotel. We were personally escorted to our upgraded (junior suite) room which was very nice and almost tip top condition (one of the false cupboard fronts near the entrance had fallen off - it was fixed next morning without us asking).

We started exploring the hotel and I called the guest hotline and asked where the club lounge was. The person on the phone couldn't speak English well and couldn't speak Cantonese either. It took me a while to explain what a club lounge was before she directed me to go up to level 39. At this point I also saw printed on the sleeve in which they put the room key in that the Conrad Club was on level 39. So off we went to level 39 and to our surprise it looked like some sort of VIP casino area (called APEX club) and a security person popped out of nowhere to tell us it was a members only area. I again asked if this was the Conrad Club and he had no idea. We decided to go back to our room.

We would spend the rest of our trip trying to navigate the language barrier. An example is when we went down to the Orbit restaurant for breakfast and the waitress kept talking to us in Mandarin even after I made it very clear three times that I couldn't understand Mandarin in English and Cantonese.

Some of the staff were not well informed either - no one we spoke to seem to know what a Conrad Club was nor what a Hilton Honors Diamond member is entitled to. I eventually worked out that the Conrad Club was temporarily closed and therefore there was no place to go to for evening drinks. To do this, I went on a yo-yo trip (up to level 39, down to level 1, up to level 39, down to level 1) before someone finally explained it to me. At this point I was in the lounge on level 1 and discovered I had to pay for the drinks I ordered even though I was informed this was the temporary Conrad club lounge. I gave up trying to utilize my member privileges for the rest of the trip.

The hotel is really quite nice - it's new, the room is big, the baby cot complete with baby bath tub and baby kit was a very, very nice touch, it has a great pool and I especially liked the heated pool because I could take my baby daughter for a swim. The only bugbear I have is what I described in the previous paragraphs about the language barrier and hotel staff not knowing what my member privileges were. I'd put it down to teething problems since the hotel is only six months old? I would go back again for a weekend getaway in the future.

I am currently staying in-house at Conrad Macao, Cotai Central and this is my 2nd stay in 6 months since the hotel opened earlier this year. I am in Macao for business a couple of times a year and have been travelling to Macao from Australia via Hong Kong for the last 4 years. The Conrad Macao has put the destination back on the map as far as a prestine corporate hotel experience. Be it a corporate trip/conference/event or even personal vacation I could not more confidentially tell you that I have not had a better experience at Four Seasons HK, Shangri-la HK or even the new Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong. The team in Macao really need to be congratulated! From arrival the doormen/women are courteous and welcoming. The lobby is gorgeous with the check-in conveniently offset to the side, the floral arrangements are always stunning... also no Casino in sight.

I love this and think that this is a extremely strong selling point for this Executive Hotel. Also being Australian I was pleasantly suprised this morning to see a large Australian corporate company arriving today for an event, which really proved that this hotel is doing a great job in other markets as many of my colleagues and industry associates often mention the casino focus and strong footfall of non-english speaking tourists/staff in Macao. Smoke? Where? Smoking laws have been introduced into Macao since my initial visit to the city 3 years ago and this has raised the bar even further. This hotel has really changed the scene in Macao!!

I have read a few comments about Mandarin speaking staff, however I dont know if this is due to being Australian, however I have not had this issue within the hotel. My room service attendant this morning may not have been very confident in English however spoke sufficient english and was most importantly very helpful and friendly.

The rooms are spacious, very well appointed, Nespresso machine (love it!) and everything from Spa, Gym, Dining, Shopping, and Concierge are top notch. I must mention Concierge as this is was AMAZING! A real concierge... a visa to China, or high tea at the Penisula in HK with Helicopter Flight to HK at short notice... totally manageable for them! This is the hotel to stay in Macao.

My previous trip was personal and I was travelling with my 11mnth daughter. I have never been presented with a large leather bound Baby Ammenity Set in my room on arrival (they call it Baby Conrad) which was equipped with everything from nappies, wipes, Conrad bib, slippers, bowl/spoon set imacuately presented which was available to use during my stay. The amenities inside the room are high-end (Aromotherapy Associates), Conrad Bear during turn down, a Conrad duck in the bathroom, a little bottle of candies, Fiji water, JBL iPhone / IPad dock. I have also returned this trip to the hotels breast cancer awareness initiative so my rubber duckie this stay is pink, as is the teddy bear on turn down. Impressive!

I have tried to find fault, if the only comment I can make being that Internet is charged, I am happy to know that with the Aussie dollar this does not affect me too much as a business traveller.

Macao has done amazing things inreased/advanced its destination offering three-fold in 3 years and from what the staff tell me here, Sands has amazing plans in further developing Macao into a World Class Destination!

Great job to the team at Conrad Macao!!!!

apart from the delayed check in, everything else is perfect. It's perfect for a coffee bug like me as there is a nespresso machine in the room. It's a huge huge room with iPad dock and a huge plasma tv and the view is like Las Vegas although far from it. Must go to the pool and soak up the sun, it's fantastic and everything is so new and grand. Very much love this place and the gigantic pool

Room tip: Wifi is chargeable but we went to the bar on the reception floor and its free, just get a drink

3D2N trip with family. Upgraded to suite with breakfast with Hilton HHonors gold membership.
Areas deserving special mention:
Suite was of excellent standard - size, cleanliness and value-for-money
Service and amenities was thoughtful to the details - especially when we travel with a child.
Family with children, including infants can rest assure the this hotel will take care of you and those whom you love.
Breakfast - large variety, clean and good food.
Pools, especially the heated ones at 33 degree Celsius is Like Like Like for children and their parents. No worry of getting chill. Some may think it is too small but it may not be cost effective or may even be environmentally unfriendly to have heated pools of olympic size.
Areas that will give it a 6-star:
Entrance is difficult to find. Since guest is likely arrive by free shuttle from harbour to "hotel chain" and stop in entrance of another hotel, it is difficult to know where to find the "correct hotel" entrance.
View of hotel suite faces another hotel. Reasons include "rooms are tight" and "guest do not stay in hotel suites whole day". If the upgrade to suite was a bonus and not by Hilton HHonors gold membership, it may be understandable. However, Hilton HHonors gold membership could be treated better.
Breakfast. Venue is difficult to find, just like the entrance of the hotel.
Conclusion
If you travel with children and infants, this hotel will be a luxury for you and your family.

Room tip: ask for rooms facing the City of Dreams
