“This is called Hospitality”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

The environment of this hotel is great. The most memorable moment is the " Shrekfast " that was prepared for children. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The staffs treat everyone politely with a smiley face. The big fountain in the hotel lobby was really fascinating. We felt comfortable and safe to stay in this hotel just like my home. At the time of check out on 28th Nov, the staff at concierge, particularly the lady who made our ferry ticket and took care of our luggage, was very polite and caring. She showed the meaning of hospitality. We will definitely be back again next time when we visit Macau.

The hotel decoration is very new and modern. But the view is horrible. We could see the air ventilation machine on the roof. I believe half of the rooms are facing the same directin. We had ordered the breakfast with dreamworks character. The breakfast is amazing and we enjoyed a lots.therefore i suggest People book tge breakfast but not this hotel.

Thank you for your feedback. As a 4-star hotel, we are dedicated to provide comfortable accommodation and the value of money. We are grateful to know you enjoyed our DreamWorks breakfast. Besides, our deluxe room type has spectacular city view. Perhaps you may check it out next time. Please feel free to contact me at ernest.cheng@ihg.com if I can be of any assistance

In general it's a clean and relatively new hotel. However construction starting around 08:30 in the morning, couldn't rest from the room at all. Went to the gym room with my room card, but I wasn't expected an insult. I called the front desk before and asked which floor is the gym room located and its operating hours. Okay they told me at the fourth and no more. I went down with my key card as most of the hotel would require either a signature or both the key card and my signature. When I arrived the gym room, I was asked about the full name of the registered customer for the room. I called my friend by her nickname and I honestly don't know her full name. I explained the situation with the staff tested my key card ( and proved my key card valid). The gym staff keep insulting me with an attitude, treating me as if I stole the key card and try so hard to just use the gym room from this Holiday Inn. After 20 minutes, the lady staff told me " You are allowed to get in for once, not anymore if you don't ask your friend's full name." I explained this is not a common practice and this " internal procedure" should be communicated to the customer, at least when I call the front ddesk or a simple note from the hotel brochure. Well I feel humiliated from the manager of the gym with his even bossier attitude " This is our procedure". After 30 minutes with cold bossy faces I asked the gym staffs to give a call to the front desk. The front desk girl told me I should wait ( after standing at the gym reception keep explaining and later defending for myself), that I should wait for another 5 minutes for them to see if they could contact the hotel room registered lady ( who is my friend I know only by her nickname and she was gambling from the casino downstairs). Under this situation I left with no choice but to ask for further escalation to the front desk manager. She finally came up and I have to explain the who situation again. At the end there was finally a normal hotel staff that she think there is a problem. Well after 35 minutes of non-stop defending for myself with a key card on hand and the corresponding room number, I was finally being able to use the gym for 35 minutes.
I have to be honest that the front desk manager gave me a $300 HKD dining voucher, however I would never come back to any Holiday Inn again. Do not recommend this hotel as there are quite a lot of hotels around the area.

Thank you for your candid feedbacks. I am saddened to learn that your stay was not as completely relaxing and enjoyable as it should be. It is true that access to certain hotel facilities are restricted to registered hotel guest only. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you in this process of residency’s verification. Having said that, I have discussed your feedbacks with the department head concerned to ensure this kind of situation are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner.

We booked for 2 nights from 5/10/2013 and was upgraded to a suite (likely due to us being IHG member). The room is big with full facilitates - great impression. The coffee shop in the lobby has great surrounding. WiFi is everywhere, including the room, with good signal. The hotel is in the middle of the Macao Cotal Central where you can shop, eat and visit other hotels with easy walking distance. There is no need to catch a taxi to go to the CBD area - you can get everything around the hotel complex. LOCATION is great!!!

The room we stayed was good. It's actually a room for two but could possibly fit 4 person if you guys are slim enough. This hotel is located on the other side of Macau so might not be the best location but it's just right opposite of The Venetian which is a shopping paradise. You could still proceed to Venetian whether it's raining or hot sun as there's there's a link bridge accessible to Venetian, through Four Seasons hotel.

Stayed here for 1 nite in November, a last minute booking during the Macau Grand Prix. Surprisingly cheap at USD 200 when the bigger chains near the GP were asking for like 500 or 1000 a nite. Our rate didnt include breakfast but there is Wifi free if you are IHG member. The hotel is a great location, just 1 min walk away from the Sands Cotai casino. And if you are travelling from the ferry, its just as close to walk from the either bus stop (1) Sands Cotai or (2) City Of Dreams next door.

Rooms are adequate, offer 2 choice of pillow, got all your condiments like slippers. THe checkin was seamless and did the express checkout after our American breakfast the next morning. You really cannot go wrong with this hotel and we would stay again if we want to keep to this budget.

Room Tip: all rooms are simliar size and rectangular. open view but not that much to see. i would probably pre...
