I wanted to take my 5-year-old daughter to Kids' City yesterday (14 DEC 2013). But I found it has been closed until sometime next year. It was not announced on the website as of today.... They should have done so. We wasted time and got tired. The lady at information desk told me that there is another playground in Sands Cotai Central. But it was much much smaller and cost MOP90 for 2 hours. Yeah, my daughter looked happy.

Our Children had Fun in Kid's City. City of Dreams has not much for Kids, it's looks like a big Casino and it's a terrible smell of smoke everywhere! Smoking is allowed in the Casino, but no doors so the smell goes everywhere -:((

This playground and Qube at the Venetian are the two major indoor playgrounds in Macau. (The Macau Science Center also has an indoor playground - it is smaller but it does not have an admission fee.) This playground offers a walled section for babies and young toddlers, a "dress-up" room with a variety of costumes and a stage, a video game room, a large-screen display for kiddie movies, a bouncy castle, two climbing structures for big kids and for toddlers and an arts & crafts area. (The big climbing and slide structure is meant for children between 4 and 12 years old.)

Our kid was having her birthday while in Macau so we rented the party room for a small birthday party. The room rental cost 2500 patacas for two hours, which included free entry for a number of guests. Food and drink, including a birthday cake, was an extra cost.

This is a fun place for kids to play if the weather is bad or if you run out of things to do in Macau.

The City of Dreams is a child-friendly venue in Macau. One of the minor attractions here is the Kid's City area, which includes an interactive indoor playground and entertainment area for young children (MOP90 for two hours). Check out their website (includes a PDF brochure), which describes the various forms of children entertainment available.

The Kid's City attraction is found on the second floor of the City of Dreams, next the recently opened Hard Rock Cafe and is available to children aged 2-12, open 10.30am to 9.30pm. It is similar to the child play zone called Qube, found at the nearby Venetian Hotel.

In addition to the Kid's City are the other attractions at the City of Dreams such as the Vquarium screen near the lobby, the fun Dragon Treasure show and the world class House of Dancing Water (HoDW) show, which is child-friendly.

Overall, this seems to be a good child-friendly option for families with young children, looking for things for their children to enjoy while visiting Macau. If your children are older, they might better enjoy the Qube at the Venetian which has internet, video games and a pool hall. Or if you've teenagers in your group, the Underground Amusement center at the Fisherman's Wharf, which is a traditional arcade and video game center might be more suitable and appropriate.
