We stopped by the Flora Garden during a recent trip to Macau. This was a decent garden but not as beautiful or impressive as the nearby Lam Lou Ieoc Garden. Overall, it was not one of our favorites but there are couple reasons to consider a visit here.
There were a couple of interesting things here, including the cable car that went to the top of Guia Hill. We didn’t have time to include the Guia Hill on this trip but will come back to Flora Garden for this activity during a future trip to Macau. Also, we found some animals in cages within this little city garden. Overall, this was not too impressive but there was an Asian Bear, perhaps a rescued animal that was actively walking around. This was a nice thing to see. The bear looked fairly healthy and we enjoyed watching him for a short while.
Overall, Flora Garden was ok during visit was considerably less impressive, in our view, than other garden attractions in Macau. This is a good place to have quick look if you are planning to visit Guia Hill and Fortress, via the Cable Gars at Flora Garden but if you are just wanting to see gardens, we’d first recommend the nearby Lou Lim Ieoc Garden as well as the S.Francisco Garden near the Lisboa Hotel.
