“Luxury shopping, casinos and few other attractions”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Apart from their huge casino, shopping mall is pretty luxurious and expensive of course. Unfortunately both Taboo and Dancing water shows were not operating at the time that I visited there.
Their dragon show is interesting and good for the value.

“Not quite as I was expecting”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

We caught a free shuttle bus from the Sintra Hotel to the City of Dreams. It only took about 15 minutes to get here. When we arrived it immediately hit us that this establishment is 5 star all the way. I must admit all the shops were way out of our price range. Really everything here is for setup for wealthy. Apart from the expensive shopping and gambling there really isn't much to do here.

“City of dreams vs. Cotai Central”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

I am staying at the Holiday Inn at the Sands Cotai Central. The place seems totally mixed up and built in a ram schackle fashion. Granted the design is beautiful with all the water features but it still seems like any other mall with water added. I decided to venture down the block to City of Dreams. What a different feel. The difference between Walmart and Nordstrom. Everything was perfect and nothing was overdone. Just the finest brands in the world. The Dragone Water show at City of Dreams, "The house of dancing waters" was as good as any show I have ever seen. It was a mix of " The lion king", Olympic opening ceremonies (specifically Athens 2004) and the Michael Jackson Cirque show. There is not a bad seat in the house. I bought the least expensive ticket (530HKG senior) and it was spectacular, The audience is in the round and very close to the performance.

“One gem”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

This is a typical large casino hotel, with casino, lots of (typical, named) shops and restaurants, and a few architectural feats. All of which are worth walking around and looking at.

City of Dreams also does shows which makes it stand out. Evening shows like Taboo and House of the Dancing Water are separately reviewed and are evening performances.

The gem, running every 30 mins daily is the Imax "Dragons Treasure" located in The Bubble. Excellent show and one of the cheapest entry fees in town.

City of Dreams is worth a visit just for this show. But if you can get to the evening shows, all the better
