we did not spend long n this casino as we had visited many over the course of the day but it appared to have a more history value rather than asthetics. it has al lthe functions of a regualr casino found in macau but just a bit more tired and run down however it is very clean and hospitable - i have also been told that this is the casino for gentleman to meet 'special ladies' which may be the case for why it appeared a bit more seedy.

My second time visiting Grand Lisboa, first time is in the morning so didn't think much of this place. Second time is at night, find it much nicer with glittering lights on at night i.e. the tower or the lotus shape building. Inside the casino is huge, span of 2 floors I think and more happening at night than morning. Not sure of the games coz we didn't play any

There are arts and jewel stones display that are worth to visit if you pass by the lobby. One thing I noticed was the cute lamp or mirror on each check-in counter ;oD

....visit a few. This is a must on the list of casinos here. Not quite as posh as somewhere like Wynn but still a good starting point.

Make a day of it and have a look around the other islands. More to Macau than the casinos.
Ferry from Hong Kong cost 140hkd each way and takes about 1hr

Other tips for Macau
Clothing slightly cheaper so if you want shoes or top brands this is a good place to shop.
Meat sheets, yes meat sheets - piglet meat is very tasty.

Get free bus to one of the casinos (from across the road to the ferry terminal) then walk to main street as its not too far. You get free bus back from any of the casinos to the ferry terminal.

pros: nice decor, bright lighting, exotic overall

cons: limited choice of games (I don't even recognize many of games offered, while there is huge shortage of blackjack / craps), smoking is allowed, taking pictures is forbidden!

Nothing more to add; the building is brightly lit up at night and certainly a landmark in Macau, but the casino is far too busy and far too smoky to have a wander around...
