This place is really local, it used to be where many locals and Portuguese came to eat, the food is average but it is a place you should try everything about it is authentic.

Excellent Macanese and Portuguese food, very tasty and enough size. The squeed was perfect taste and the fish pan fried fillets were also amazing. Everything home-made and all fresh. Really cheap and accessible to everyone. The two owners are Macanese and they speak Portuguese.

A Vencedora - Two brothers run this simple restaurant in Rua do Campo, central Macau. Although they are Macanese, they are expert cooks of Portuguese food, having learnt as caterers for the Portuguese garrison (now long gone). The food is tasty, home-style cooking, far from nouvelle cuisine and all those fads. The place is very plain, no-nonsense (e.g. no tablecloths) - a little draughty on windy days. Frequented by many locals (Macanese and Portuguese) and adventurous tourists. ... The service is occasionally a little insistent (from the manager), or always quiet and obliging (from the many staff).
Prices are low, the quality of the fare not always top grade, but good nourishment with great flavour and character. Good bacalhau, cooked in many ways. Great fish fillets (various), generous portions. Some nice cheeses, too!
Interesting wines and beers, good house wine, great "bica" (espresso coffee), best accompanied by amendoa amarga (an almond flavoured liqueur from southern Portugal) or a "bagaço" (firewater, but thrilling!)
Open till 10 p.m.

We accidentally bumped into this local portugese restaurant. What a surprise we had. Great and reasonable portugese food. Everything came with potatoes which was bit undercooked. We had oxtail stew, roast chicken, squid, all tender and flavourful. Try it when you in Macau. Quite friendly staff too.
