The beach is away from the casinos and busyness of Macau, and has good facilities, so that is the good part. Sadly, the beach is very narrow, because the sidewalks and buildings are so close to the ocean. The sand is in fact black right at the edge, and farther back is dark brown with hints of black. This has the unfortunate effect of making it appear dirtier than it actually is. I noticed quite a bit of trash in the sand. Hopefully, it is cleaned regularly, in which case it would be worth a short stop.
