“Dragons and Trees”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

Having read about the Dragon Fortune and the Tree of Prosperity on trip advisor, we decided to view for ourselves, when caught out in a downpour. We didn't tell our traveling companions and we were all pleasantly surprised.

We thought the arrival of the huge animatronic dragon was good, we liked the ceiling projections, opening panels and the gold globe that opens up - a bit like the music box from Camblewick Green - for those old enough to remember.

The dragon lasts for about 6 minutes in total and 25 minutes later, the Tree of Prosperity also makes an appearance, although we thought the dragon better.

Perhaps not something you would schedule in to your trip to Macau but if you are near, then pop in for a look - its free and quite quick.

“Not great but a good child-friendly attraction a the Wynn Hotel”
Reviewed January 27, 2012

We watched the Dragon of Fortune in the lobby of the Wynn Hotel during our recent stay in Macau. As we are now in the year of the Dragon, this was the perfect time to watch this show. The stage, performing area is quite neat. We enjoyed the ceiling and floor opening up and the dragon shooting out of the ground. However, it just spins in a circle, set to music before returning to the ground, ending the 2-3 minute show.

Overall, the show itself is a bit boring, but it is child friendly and the mechanics of the ceiling and floor opening up is neat. The show alternates with the Tree of Prosperity Show every 30 minutes so you can catch this separate performance at the same location.

Hint: Because the two shows, Dragon of Fortune and the Tree of Prosperity, alternate, after finishing one, you can go outside and watch the Performing Lake performance, in front of the Wynn sign. As this show takes place every 15 minutes and is also just 3 minutes long, you can watch it and then return to the Wynn Lobby to catch the other stage show. Thus, you can see all three of these child-friendly Wynn attractions in just over 35 minutes.

“Liked it more then the Tree of Prosperity”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

A little surprised this was ranked so far below the Tree of Prosperity as I personally preferred the dragon. Nonetheless, as mentioned the dragon and tree alternate being shown every half hour and can be viewed at no cost. Nice little show and worth stopping by for.
