The museum is great. Lots of infornation there. Its quite hug. Me and my parents had a very great time there. Its very near to the famous Ruins of St. Paul. So u wouldnt miss it. Just outside the museum is the old Fortress and u can enjoy watching Macau city from there.

Entrance fee is MOP15 for adult.

Nice local museum where you can learn about historic past of the place as Portugese colony for 400 years or so.

For a Brazilian like me, it is fascinating to learn about the history of Macau and how Portuguese traditions mixed with Chinese ones. But I think that the museum should also be interesting to people with other backgrounds, as it is very well designed and kept. The exhibits are entertaining and informative.

At the time of our visit, a Saturday, the entrance was free. You get to have a feel of the history and culture of Macau. I particularly liked looking inside the houses -- take a peek in the window and you see a group playing "Mahjong" (it's just a video screen). I liked the coin display (various coins from the different dynasties) and the area that talked about how silk is made. Spend a quick 30-minutes and you would have covered the whole museum already.

Macau Museum is so interesting and so adorable at the same time!... First of all, the location is pretty convenient, since is right next to St. Paul's ruins and very near by Senado Square. So if you're there, you have no excuse!
The Museum explains all about the city, its heritage, etc, and, for me, as a Portuguese, it was really cool to visit it.
The cafeteria outside is actually very pleasent as well, but a bit pricy.
the museum is located in a fortress, so the view is quite cool too!
Don't miss it, it's very interesting!
