“enjoyed walking around”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

it was good to walk around and see some of the temples and churches and Lord Stow's shop. It takes only about two hours to walk around and see.

“quaint and beautiful”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

this is the spot to go, its real authentic Portuguese area and a great fusion with the east. There are some great little cafes and restaurants, not to many but they are great !

Getting there is easy in a taxi not so easy getting back as taxi are rare in this area, buses are easy to catch but you'll need to know the number of the one you need to get on and the right one will drop you on the cotai strip right outside your hotel (stay at sheraton its really close)

“Nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the casinos”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Visited the beach area of Hac sa in Coloane. It was nice to get away from the casinos and shopping malls for a bit. The journey by taxi was only about 15 minutes from the centre of Taipa. The journey is nice as everything starts to be a little more green and opens out to the beach area. There is not much there really but we went to visit a restaurant which was recommended to us and we were not disappointed.

“A great experience”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Really worth a visit. We caught the local bus from Cotai Strip- bus stop just in front of Sheraton Hotel. A nice step back in time... To us it gave an insight into what Macau was like prior to casinos & development. Had Portuguese food for lunch at local cafe, visited Lord Stow's Bakery & tasted his famous tart & just wandered around looking at the old buildings & old world charm of the place.
