Visited the small town of Coloane, we were dissapointed as there was no sightseeing information of the area, would have been better off going to another area.

Small Portugese village in the South of Macau and one of the main tourist spots for numerous mainland Chinese tourists staying in one of the Cotai casinos. Lord Stow's cafe is here as well as a number of other eateries. The church is very colorful and on good days one can roam the promenade with an egg tart in one hand and a milk tea in the other.

Very wild nature place; only green hills, sun and sea. There are nice hotels, cozy restaurants and bakeries in the area. Macau village, let`s say

After being in Hong Kong, where it is so busy, that you are swept along with the human tide, on Nathan St, this was such a peaceful, & pleasant island.

Compared to what's happening in the malls and casinos of nearby Cotai Strip this is heavenly. So nice to stroll around this old fishing village with interesting remnants of the Portuguese period. The church of Francis Xavier is a highlight and outside is a cairn commemorating a battle in 1910 between the militiary and Chinese pirates who had dominated life in the village. The absolute highlight is an egg tart or two at Lord Stow's cafe!
